    We’re proud of Rep. Grace F. Napolitano, Congressman Mike Thompson, Congressman Paul D. Tonko, Chicago Bears player Brandon Marshall, and his wife, Michi Marshall, for showing their support and working to destigmatize mental illness.

  13. Online chat is becoming an increasingly popular suicide prevention tool, according to experts in the field. The chance to talk to a counselor via online chat is attracting people – particularly young women – who for various reasons were not using the traditional telephone hotlines. The experts warn, however, that this type of intervention is not a substitute for face-to-face interactions with a therapist or social worker.
