Sergeant Robert J. Dynerowicz from the Royal Canadian Dragoons, based at Canadian Forces Base Petawawa (Ontario), has died as a result of his injuries following a vehicle accident while conducting training at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright (Alberta). Three other soldiers were injured. Today’s tragic accident occurred around 10 a.m. (Eastern), while Canadian Army personnel were participating on Exercise RUGGED BEAR.

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of Sergeant Dynerowicz in Wainwright, Alberta. Not only is his death a painful loss to his family and friends, but we feel this loss across the Canadian Army and the entire military community. • Exercise RUGGED BEAR is a key live-fire training event for the Canadian Army’s Road to High Readiness training program, which commenced on April 15 and is slated to end on April 27 2017.
