It's not that I REFUSE Twitter it's just that it it's difficult to understand and use and also really stupid.

I guess devs read the official thread for feedback, so I say again what we said on the unofficial thread.
Everyone is extremely happy with the changes, especially the long-awaited "AI won't cancel core-creation when sieged", except protectorates.
Protectorates worked fine and had a use pre-1.18. Then they were broken. But deleting them is not a fix, or it is a very lazy one. There is work to do around protectorates, and they had very unique functions, they did not cost diplo slot, you could protectorate nations above 100% warscore and you could use them for colonial wars. Overall there was an historical difference between protectorates and vassals and the game represented that. It seems most of the people are disappointed that protectorates disappear.

It's okay. I respect your opinion, and that's why I make these posts for you :)

As someone who doesn't care - and never cared - for Facebook, Twitter, ICQ, Myspace or all other pieces of "social" things I can happily tell you that you don't need an account to view the Twitter account/feed/tweet [whatever its called].

I got the page on the browser's autocomplete and check it at the end of day.

-10% AE definitely makes more sense than claim duration.

Also, don't lump ICQ together with the rest of the social crap. It was great in the early 2000s.

Ooh great. Feature of a DLC i paid for is being removed!

Woo hoo!

Protectorates aren't a paid feature of Conquest of Paradise; they were free with patch 1.4.

But it is another example of Paradox making everything up as they go along. Sad!

"A Large City"

Should be a coastal city to represent how colonial empires had a main port city (or cities) where supplies and ships would depart from.

Is that twenty-four thousand Ashikaga soldiers? It should be about three. Not three thousand. Three.

Well, from what I hear, Yoshiteru put up a pretty darn good fight on his own.

I don't have enough information one way or the other to know precisely how I feel about merging vassals and protectorates. How "merged" are they -- totally, or just in part? Can I do Seize Land on every vassal now, even a March? That would be pretty fantastic, especially if you can offset the LD with stuff like conquering more land for them (making vassals an endless "worm" of growing on one end and being absorbed into your lands on the other).

How do the dip rel slots work for this? Do vassals with substantially lower tech just not take a slot (like previous protectorates and like daimyos work now)? Also it was pretty easy to diplomatically gain protectorates before. Is it likewise easy to diplomatically gain vassals with low-tech nations?

So many questions. Looking forward to a full dev diary on this.

So now you can take lands from your vassals slowly and when they are down to the last province you can diplo-annex them cheaply?

Does this mean you can place your relatives on foreign thrones in Asia and in Africa? Conversion too?
