Manager, Strategic Relationships

The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA), a leading association with 21,000 members and affiliates, seeks a Manager, Strategic Relationships with experience creating and selling successful sponsorship, advertising and exhibiting packages, and developing key affinity partnerships to enhance a growing suite of member services. This professional will:

  • Cultivate and grow all sponsorship, advertising and exhibiting sales to meet annual revenue goals
  • Build prominent relationships with businesses that provide cutting-edge resources for CPAs, the accounting profession and their clients/customers
  • Manage the association’s affinity partner benefit program. Review and finalize contracts and develop promotional activities that leverage OSCPA marketing and communications to grow awareness and demand for these programs
  • Assist in conducting research to identify trends and opportunities for new programs and services that meet CPA’s needs. Maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape for these programs
  • Work with strategic affinity partners and other resource providers to secure educational articles for OSCPA’s publications and website
  • Educate OSCPA staff to be proficient in communicating and cross-promoting member affinity and benefit programs and strategic marketing opportunities
  • Assist in the development of a comprehensive sales and relationship management system to manage prospecting, track sales efforts and measure results against targeted business and revenue goals
  • Attend OSCPA education and professional events to manage on-site exhibiting and sponsorship activities and cultivate future business development opportunities
  • Assist in budget planning and revenue and expense tracking

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business management or administration, marketing, communications, or a relevant degree and more extensive work experience is required

Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience in a strategic and successful sales position; association background or knowledge of association environment is desirable
  • Proven ability to create and grow successful sponsorship, advertising and exhibiting programs and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and revenue goals
  • Web, social media and electronic advertising experience preferred
  • Excellent relationship building skills and experience collaborating effectively with outside organizations and association leadership through face-to-face and other communications methods
  •  Excellent interpersonal, organizational, listening and communications skills
  • Strong understanding of marketing and business dynamics
  • Creative problem solving and analytical thinking combined with the ability to advise and effectively collaborate with business owners at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Some travel within Ohio required
