We are raising much-needed scholarship dollars for kids in need. It is music to the community’s ears, and you can help!
Students (youth and adult): 
Get friends to sponsor your performance this spring. Win prizes! New this year: every class that meets their sponsorship goal gets pizza at their recital! Pick an event from the online list of events and start your fundraising! See below for instructions.
Individuals:
Sponsor a student, a concert, or the whole festival with a tax-deductible donation. Pick an event from the online list of events and give! See below for instructions.
Business:
Get significant exposure and boost the local community with in-kind donations or cash sponsorships. See below for instructions.
Prizes:
For 1) most money raised, and 2) most sponsors:
- One year free classes at CMC
- Gift certificate for David Kerr Violin Shop ($100)
- Gift certificate for Portland Music Company ($100)
- Ice Skating for 4 at Lloyd Center
- 10 lesson summer swim session in a PP&R pool
Winner selects his/her choice, runner-ups select remaining prizes. One prize per person. Restrictions may apply. Sponsorship prize winners will be announced at the end of the festival.
Instructions for Individuals
Step 1 - Go to the online list of events for the Making Musicians Festival,
Step 2 - Choose the event and select the "Support this event!" link,
Step 3 - Pick your event or student to sponsor from the list, or press the general event "Donate" button and specify the student you are honoring.
Step 4 - Applaud yourself for helping bring music to low-income kids and harmony to the community!
Instructions for Students
Sponsorship Drive starts March 1. There are two ways to collect sponsors: 1) via the internet, 2) with a paper form - pick one or both!

a) Go to the Making Musicians Festival online list of events
b) Choose your event(s) and select the “Support this event!” link.
c) Click on the "Become a Fundraiser" button.
d) Create and account and build your fundraising page – you can set your own goal, and add your own greeting and photo!

Ask your family and other friends to sponsor you.
Share your fundraising page link with everyone you know through e-mail, Facebook, Twitter.

Wrap up all your fundraising by one week before your concert or recital to be eligible for prizes.

We will make lots of noise about your gift, putting your business name on printed programs, printed newsletter, Facebook/Twitter shout-outs, & website listing of all the activity. Gifts received by March 1 will be listed in our Spring Newsletter, send to over 5,000 local postal addresses.
Contributions of any amount and at any time are welcome, appreciated and needed. All gifts to CMC Inc. are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Sponsorships are non-exclusive.
