Deer Lamp MIM

It’s finally done, the deer lamp. Using a leather deer my friend purchased at the Melrose Flea Market, I transformed it into a lamp of my favorite combo of colors, white and silver. The hardest decision was whether to make a silver deer with a white base, or the opposite. I settled on the latter although rather than a silver base, I created it out of mirror and I am quite happy with the results.

Lessons learned:
-don’t try and drill through mirror, it shatters
-the rods that hold down stair runners make good upright supports
-a dremel is a miracle worker
