  • Does your organization have ideas for local watershed conservation efforts?
  • Are you interested in project development, building strategy, and increasing capacity?
  • Not sure how to retain leadership and volunteers?
 Thanks to a partnership with the BLM, the Montana Watershed Coordination Council is available to assist watershed groups in eastern Montana to build capacity and fulfill conservation goals.
MWCC will provide underserved watershed groups with capacity building plans, tailored to each group's specific needs.

EPA proposes greater protection for streams and wetlands under Clean Water Act
The EPA proposed a rule Tuesday which would grant federal government regulatory authority over millions of acres of wetlands and 2 million miles of streams. These stricter regulations on pollution will benefit fish and waterfowl but may burden developers and farmers with greater permit controls

Billings plant churns out about 9 million gallons of clean water
In 2013 the Billings water treatment plant produced 8-9 billion gallons of pure drinking water. Treating contaminants such as coliform, arsenic, copper, lead, aluminum, sulfate, phosphates and magnesium.
