Haydin's Aplastic Anemia transplant

Donation protected

As many of you may know our grandson was just recently diagonesed with Aplastic anemia it is a condition that occurs when your body stops producing enough new blood cells. Aplastic anemia leaves you feeling fatigued and with a higher risk of infections and uncontrolled bleeding. A rare and serious condition, aplastic anemia can develop at any age. Aplastic anemia may occur suddenly, or it can occur slowly and get worse over a long period of time. Treatment for aplastic anemia may include medications, blood transfusions or a stem cell transplant, also known as a bone marrow transplant.
Haydin was hospilized on October 17th, 2017 an was at Methodist Childrens Hospital Until October 25,2017 .While there he under went many procedures. He had a Bone marrow aspirate and biospy: to rule out other causes of pancytopenia. He also had to have 2 blood transfusions due to his blood levels being very low. Along with his blood levels being low his white blood levels were also very low so he had to have a Platelet transfusion. These transfusions did in fact help his counts go up so that we could at least leave his room to go and enjoy the playroom that the hospital has for him to enjoy. (an that sure was a blessing)
As of today 11-05-17 we are still awaiting on the results to see if one of his sisters will be a match beings he will have to have a bone marrow transplant. we are hoping to get those results as soon as this coming tuesday. At this time the bone marrow transplant is the only option that avaiable to us at this time. If eithe of his siblings are not a match at that time the transplant Doctors will then look into there registry to find a postive match for him. Once he gets a Bone Marrow Donor he will then began the Chemo process. The time spent in the hospital for Haydin along with Ashley (His mom) and myself (nana) will be anywhere from 2 to 5 months.
The GoFundMe Page is because We need Help! We are a two income family that depend on both income just to make ends meet. With the loss of income from me having to stop working to take care of Haydin 24/7 and help his mom who herself is on disability. Also for the expense on top of the lost income for supplies and medicnies not covered also food, parking and gas to and from the Hospitals/Doctors appointments which are to follow. Not only is this whole situation heartbreaking and stressful but a huge hit on us financially! I did not set a limit on the page due to the fact that anything with help out in the matter. Thank you All for all your Thoughts and Prayers! We Love Each An EveryOne Of you!
