A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after she collided with a Fullerton police car early Thursday morning, March 15.
At about 1 a.m. the officer was driving westbound on Orangethorpe Avenue at the intersection of Lemon Street when it collided with a black sedan that was traveling southbound, said California Highway Patrol Sgt. Matt Petrella.
Fullerton police requested that the California Highway Patrol conduct the investigation into the crash involving a patrol vehicle, Petrella said. The officer, who appears to have been responding to a call, was not injured and no one was hospitalized.
Officers did a field sobriety test on the woman driving the sedan and arrested her after concluding she was under the influence.
