These are some of the cutest, sweetest and most joyful candid wedding photos I’ve ever seen! They make me so happy! Kit Harington and Rose Leslie got married this weekend in Scotland. Rose and Kit met and fell in love while working on Game of Thrones – apparently, it happened quite quickly and they are madly in love, and have been madly in love for quite some time. Kit let it slip last year that they were engaged, and they already live together in New York, which is where HER job is.
Kit and Rose got married at Rayne Church, which is near Rose’s ancestral home, Wardhill Castle. Yes, she grew up in a castle. Kit’s very aristocratic/posh too – this isn’t just a “two cute actors got married” story, this is a “two posh families are now intertwined by marriage” story. God knows, it might even make it into Debrett’s Peerage. That being said, Rose and Kit do seem like they’re truly in love. It’s not a posh marriage of convenience. Look at Rose!! She looks like she’s about to burst with happiness.
As for the bride’s ensemble… you guys, I love it. I love her gown. Too much lace makes a bride look like a doily, but this lace is really elegantly done. I like the dress is off-white too, everything looks sort of antique/vintage. I love her veil and her floral headpiece too. She’s just so cute!
Lots of Game of Thrones people came out Rose and Kit’s wedding too. Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner were there, because they are Kit’s Stark sisters. Emilia Clarke was there, as was Peter Dinklage. You can see photos of the GoT fam here.

Rose’s dress is stunning!! I love the lace (which I usually don’t) and the fact that it doesn’t cover every inch of the dress. The flowers in her hair bring such a nice bit of whimsy and fun. But I have to say that her radiant smile is the most beautiful part of this whole ensemble!!

What I thought was funny in an article I read about the wedding is that they have castles, not just one castle. Her father lives in one and her brother in another!
Her dad is a Tory MP and Rose campaigned for him and the conservatives in the last election in Aberdeen. I thought interesting because even though I’m not all that familiar with British politics, I didn’t think there were many Tories left in Scotland.

I adore her dress, veil, and floral headpiece. I would have preferred her hair up and a touch more makeup to bring a little contrast with all the ivory, but she really does look lovely.

There are rumors there was a love triangle on the show with Rose, Kit, and another woman after Rose left the show. Supposedly Rose and Kit were on and off. I’m guessing the other woman was Sophie Turner. Why else would she dress like a hooker at the wedding? Is she saying look what you rejected? CDAN said guests made sure the other woman was never left alone with either the bride or groom or she would have spoken her mind. I think she spoke loud and clear.

@Kaiser….her family currently resides at Warthill Castle, not Wardhill. Wardhill castle belongs to her family but is only used as a wedding venue. She was born and raised at Lickleyhead Castle. Th church she married in is close to Wardhill and the reception was held there.
Fun fact: Lickleyhead Castle was purchased in the XIXth Century by a Mexican businessman, who is Rose’s great-great grandfather. How it was purchased from/returned to the Leslie family with a marriage between both families totally escapes me.
Sophie’s outfit is just godawful. Maisie looks cute, but the jumpsuit’s too informal, like she’s going to an evening hang out with her friends. Emilia’s wearing a proper dress, but she does look a little tired. The bag’s too big and her shoes are on the sensible side.
That said, Rose looks radiant here. I love her dress and veil, and that she wore her red hair down. Both her and Kit are beaming with happiness, which is how it should be. Congratulations to the lovely couple 🥂❤️

Maybe because it was in Scotland? I went to a wedding held in a Scottish Manor and none of the scots wore hats or fascinators. The only ones to do so were the out of towners! (Which was me but I LOVE a hat at a wedding and wasn’t going to waste my chance to buy a nice hat)

People just think British wedding = fascinators/hats, which isn’t true.
I’m going to sound like the odd jerk out now, but I really don’t like the dress. Or the hair. But at least she looks happy. I wish them a lifetime of happiness and love.
It’s funny because I normally don’t like lace, and I think off white wedding gowns can look dingy if done wrong. And I prefer a bride’s hair to be done up or sleek. But the dress fits the location and mood of the wedding, as well as the bride’s physique and coloring. And her hair is just natural enough to be pretty but not messy. Her whole look is very romantic and goes beautifully with what the men are wearing.
It’s o.k. I am not blown away like others seem to be.

I like what Holliday Grainger was wearing. She was there with Harry Treadaway. I saw them in a pic walking together behind one of the Night’s Watch actors. She looked way better than what any of the GOT ladies were wearing from what I saw.

My only sartorial criticism is Kit’s cream colored vest – doesn’t work for me. Perhaps dove gray silk would have been better? Something to go with the pants? Anything but cream.
