For the 2018 model year, the Japanese automaker gave the WRX and WRX STI models revised front styling for a more aggressive look. Subaru says the suspension has been optimized in both models for better handling and ride comfort, while new 19-inch wheels are available. The 2018 Subaru WRX STI also gets upgraded Brembo brakes.

Powering the standard WRX is a 2.0-liter turbocharged Boxer four-cylinder engine with 268 horsepower. Of course, there’s also Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Active Torque Vectoring with a standard six-speed manual transmission. The 2018 Subaru WRX Premium starts from $30,155 and adds new 18-inch wheels while a new optional Performance Package for the WRX Premium adds Recaro performance design eight-way power front driver seat, red-painted front and rear brake calipers with upgraded Jurid brake pads and gets rid of the moonroof for weight savings. The Performance Package is available separately for $2,050 and is only available on the six-speed model.

At the top of the WRX range is the WRX Limited, priced from $32,455. The 2018 Subaru WRX Limited now features 10-way power driver seat with power lumbar adjustment, redesigned LED Steering Responsive Headlights as well as LED fog lights to help improve nighttime visibility. Six-speed manual WRX Limited shoppers can also opt for a navigation package that includes Harman/Kardon audio and Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert for $2,100. There is also the suite of EyeSight safety technologies plus navigation available for $3,300.

A CVT is available on WRX Premium and Limited models for $1,200 additional.
