SpaceX signs first private passenger to fly around the moon

Monday, September 17, 2018, 2:01 PM - Elon Musk's space transportation company - SpaceX - says it has signed up the world's first private passenger to fly around the Moon.
The company made the announcement on Twitter,but it's withholding the identity of the traveler until Monday evening, along with details on when he or she will take the voyage.
SpaceX said the mission will use the Big Falcon Rocket, or BFR - which is still being developed.

Musk previously described the BFR as the company's largest and most powerful rocket - exceeding the Falcon 9 - a launch vehicle tailored for crewed missions into orbit.
SpaceX isn't the only company looking to turn space tourism into a booming business.

Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic AND Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin are ALSO racing to pioneer the industry.
But SpaceX is already looking beyond space travel. It says its ultimate goal is to enable people to live on other planets.
