Inspiring Books

I’ve always loved reading.  Any photos of me as a child tended to depict me with my nose in a book.  Mum always said that Christmas for us was all about Dad and I reading our presents!

That said, up until a couple of years ago, I only read novels.  Recently though I’ve discovered how inspiring non fiction can be.  Mind you my introduction to them was through books written as a story or with story elements.  These included:

  • The Celestine Prophecy – James Redfield
  • The One Minute Millionaire – Dr Spencer Johnson
  • Raving Fans – Ken Blanchard

I’ve read Raving Fans several times now and have wanted to send a copy to several organisations which have provided me with particularly bad customer service.  This book could really help turn their operations around.  Every time I’ve read this book I get all excited about just how great service CAN be.

I read The Celestine Prophecy at a time when I was not very happy at work and reading this during my lunch break always gave me a much needed lift.

Since then I’ve read lots of great books including every book Michael Neill has published so far!

Sharing is one of the main joys of a good book for me.  Telling people about them, sharing views and learning what others have read and enjoyed or been inspired by.
