North Atlantic Drilling gets new contract from Total for semi-submersible

North Atlantic Drilling, which is 70.4% owned by John Fredriksen’s Seadrill, has been awarded a one well contract for semi-submersible rig West Phoenix.

The $17m contract is in direct continuation of the rig’s existing contact with Total E&P UK. The oil major signed up the rig in November 2016 on a 90-day contract to work in the United Kingdom West of Shetland.

The 2008-built rig has been contracted to Total E&P UK since 2009.
