Put your business knowledge to good use and be paid for it

Bucks County Council will offer businesses with specific expertise £1,200 to pass on their knowledge to not for profit organisations.

The Council has introduced an exciting new initiative that may generate business opportunities for your organisation. It has launched an exciting new programme aimed at supporting local community and voluntary sector (VCS) organisations, which provide services throughout Buckinghamshire. New Futures Buckinghamshire will help to connect new or developing organisations with experts who can guide them through the challenges of running an organisation day-to-day, improving what they do already, or even taking a new direction.

VCS organisations can receive up to 3 days of one to one support (up to a value of £1,200) from Approved Providers (organisations or individuals) who have specific expertise in one or more of the ten Support Packages provided through the programme. These Approved Providers will be paid £400 for each day they provide support, inclusive of overheads and expenses, up to a maximum of £1,200.

The Support Packages cover areas such as:

  • Governance and Legal Structures (around establishing or running a voluntary organisation)
  • HR & Employment
  • Marketing and Communications (including social media)
  • ICT (strategy, data management)
  • Facilities & Supply Management

Buckinghamshire County Council are keen to hear from local individuals and businesses who have direct experience in these areas, or experience in helping other businesses or organisations transform their delivery or culture.

If you are interested in becoming an Approved Provider you will need to submit an application setting out your skills, experience and approach to delivery. More information and an Approved Provider application pack can be downloaded from the Become an Approved Provider page of the county council website.
