VIDEO: Celebrating Active Parenting

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s a celebration of families.

A program in Starkville wraps up after 6 weeks of classes on building strong, healthy families.

“Active Parenting” was hosted by the Starkville-Oktibbeha School District’s Department of Family Centered Programs.

Parents of all ages have been learning skills to help them build stronger bonds in their homes and with the community.

“Being able to be connected to this type of parenting class is like literally being connected to a life source. It’s put me in contact with so many beautiful people, and it really made me feel like I’m a part of the community. So I’ve gotten more than I expected out of the class. It’s been like infinite blessings that’s come out of this class for me,” said Starkville resident and father of two, Charles Fisher.

This program is offered across the state.
