Pat McGrath's Highly-Anticipated Eye Shadow Palettes Are FINALLY Here

UPDATE (September 28, 2017 12:00 p.m. EST): Get your mind, body, soul — and credit card — ready. Pat McGrath's permanent collection is finally here. The eye shadow palettes we've been drooling over, thanks to McGrath's dreamy Instagram post, will be available at noon for $125 each on patmcgrath.com. You won't be able to shop them on sephora.com until October 6, though. (You can sign up to be notified via email here, so you don't forget.) Luckily, if they sold out during this round, they'll be back because this collection is unlimited. (That deserves all the praise hands emojis.) You'll also be able to shop the brand-new lipsticks and liners of the both the eye and lip variety. On your mark, get set...go!

Dark Star 006, Lust 004, MatteTrance — no matter what Pat McGrath launches with her eponymous makeup brand, it sells out before you can even say "Pat McGrath Labs." Her kits are so sought after that even Allure editors, who typically have access to any beauty product they could ever want, add them to their wish lists. Luckily, the iconic makeup artist just announced that she's coming out with a permanent line of makeup. Starting next month, Pat McGrath Labs will launch 61 new items that will be available as part of a core line that will be available year-round. "To do a full line was always the intention," McGrath says. "All along, I was building it."

The part of the permanent collection that is bound to sell out in its first round is the $125 Mothership Eye Palette. There will be three of them, to be exact, with seven different finishes. All have dreamy monikers like Subversive, Sublime, and Subliminal and include shadows based on the formulas featured in Gold 001 and Dark Star 006. The glitter shades, in particular, will be made with a proprietary formula.

As for shades to expect, McGrath says, "You'd always see that one palette on my table backstage, always open, full of neutral colors," in reference to Subliminal. "These are the colors that have taken me through my whole career to create the basic neutral eye," she adds. Subversive, on the other hand, is all about shades McGrath wished she had over the years. All will launch on September 28, along with five eye pencils and a mascara, on patmcgrath.com.

Lip products will launch first, though. Starting September 16 (or even sooner if you subscribe to Pat McGrath Lab's email updates), you'll be able to shop 12 lip pencils and 40 — yes, 40 — lipsticks. Nine of the latter will be MatteTrance shades. As for the 31 others, they will be called Luxe Trance lipsticks. It's a super pigmented cream that "goes on in one swipe," McGrath says. The lip pencils will be seriously long lasting. "Good luck getting the lip liner off," McGrath jokes. It's that hard to remove. She suggests using it to add dimension to your lips.

The complete permanent Pat McGrath Labs collection will also be available on sephora.com on October 6.
