10 Things That Get in the Way of Success
Tweet |
This is just a real quick post off the top of my head. Here are ten things that I think can and oftentimes keep people from being successful. Ready or not, here we go (see if you agree with me)...
- Doing things halfway.
- Being less than honest.
- Not being yourself.
- Thinking others have more to offer.
- Treating others without respect.
- Not being nice.
- Not getting enough sleep.
- Not eating right.
- Living on an island.
- Not forgiving.

Ooh...good list! How about letting your ego get in the way?
Short and pretty worthy.. Cheers
That was off the top of your head?!?!? Whoa!!! Pretty impressive. And darn accurate when I think about it.
Found you through MyBlogLog. Tried to add you. Hope I did it right, LOL. One of these days I will figure out MyBlogLog, LOL. They keep changing these social media sites.
Anyway, great list.
Here are a few more I'd like to add, if that's ok!
Not having a positive attitude.
Not having a "can do" attitude -- one of determination until you finish a project.
Not trying to improve yourself so you'll stay abreast in your field -- by educating yourself, learning new things, taking classes, reading, learning from others, being naturally inquisitive, etc.
Not challenging yourself, so you'll continue to be creative.
Not exercising or keeping yourself fit, and not keeping yourself active every day so you're body will be in as good shape as your mind. Remember, we're whole persons, and it all works together -- our body and our mind.
Not having a good spiritual life. Having a relationship w Jesus is very important, or at least attempting to find out what is real, praying to find out and having a relationship w God. Talk to Him, and He will show you He is real, and will show you how to have a relationship w Him. In having a relationship not only will you please Him, but the stress of work and life will go down, as you can never outgive the Lord...
thanks for a great post!

Great Post Mike C,
I think I'm probably guilty of all 10 at various points in my real estate career.
Forces readers to confront each item listed in cold, impersonal terms as they evaluate the health of their real estate practice, and business in general.
Great stuff, keep it coming.
No one can be successful living on an island, going it alone. We all need some help along the way. Great point!
I like your quick and simple list because it makes me think about how each point applies to me from my own perspective. I had to gulp a few times Thank you
