Displaced Florida businesses can get free office space after Hurricane Irma

Office provider Servcorp has announced a plan to help Florida businesses in need of office space after getting displaced or hindered by Hurricane Irma.

The company is offering Virtual Office solutions, which can provide Florida businesses with alternate mailing addresses and phone numbers that are answered by receptionists, as well as physical office space for those businesses that were displaced. They’re providing free access to its flexible offices or conference rooms in downtown Miami’s Southeast Financial Center, which is located at 200 South Biscayne Boulevard.

All a business owner needs to do is send an email to virtual@servcorp.com with your name, phone number and business address, and Servcorp will respond with further detail.

“We empathize for the people of Florida whose lives and businesses were upended with Hurricane Irma,” said Marcus Moufarrige, COO of Servcorp. “As a company with business in Florida, we feel a responsibility to help our fellow Floridians and are humbled to be in a position to do so. As such, we are offering people in the affected areas our Virtual Office solutions and flexible workspace free of charge, which will allow them to resume business – albeit remotely or in one of our locations.”

While it appears most Miami buildings and residential towers weren’t severely damaged structurally, Hurricane Irma left about 80 percent of Miami-Dade County powerless during peak outage and around 300,000 FPL customers in the county remain without power.
