COVID-19 Best Practices

~Pre-tournament communication~
- A notice to competitors on the procedures that will be put in place.
- For the foreseeable future, Georgia PGA will ONLY be providing on course beverages on holes #1 & #10 as we are limiting touch points around the golf course. The lid to these coolers will be left off so the waters will be easily accessible. If available players may purchase F&B at the golf course with a limited number of people allowed in the grill/restaurant at a time, that number shall be determined by the host facility.
- All players & spectators must adhere to the social distancing guidelines.

~Arrival~
- Each player will be allowed to practice on the range & putting green NO earlier than forty-five (45) minutes before their tee time.
- Players will NOT be allowed to practice at the facility after they have completed their round.

~Arriving to the tee~
- No handshakes.
- Players will arrive to the 1st tee five minutes prior to their tee time.
- Players will sanitize their hands upon arrival to the 1st tee.
- The markers will receive the scorecard of whom they will be marking for. NO exchanging of cards will occur.
- Sharpies will not be provided at your starting tee to mark your golf ball with. Please plan accordingly.

~Playing the Course~
- Preferred Lies in a bunker - you may lift, clean, and place a ball within one club length, no closer to the hole, but would require such relief to be taken elsewhere within the bunker.
- The player MUST NOT touch the flagstick and the flagstick MUST remain in the hole. First offence is a warning, second offence is the General Penalty (two-strokes), any subsequent offence after is Disqualification.
- There will be NO player shuttles.

~Weather Delays~
- Georgia PGA staff will be proactive in weather monitoring and pull the juniors off the golf course in a generous amount of time. Those spectators with carts are encouraged to help evacuate the golf course along with Georgia PGA staff and volunteers.
- Once off the golf course, juniors and spectators will be encouraged to go wait in their vehicles. If players do not have a vehicle to go into then players must distance themselves appropriately in the Club House. Tournament and weather announcements will be sent out via text and email.
- When play is scheduled to resume there will be NO practice time allotted. Spectators may bring juniors back out to their designated hole.

~Scoring Area~
- The group who recently finished is the only group allowed in the scoring area.
- If the group ahead is still in the scoring area the group that recently finished will remain outside the scoring area until directed to enter the scoring area.
- Players will sanitize hands upon entering scoring area.
- Players will confirm scores.
- Players will sanitize upon leaving the scoring area.
- There will be a modified scoring area whereby players will be separated at a distance as they confirm cards after the round in the presence of Georgia PGA Staff.

~Spectators~
- Upon finishing the round spectators will not be allowed to linger around the scoring area.
- Spectator carts will be allowed at the discretion of the host facility.

~Scoreboard~
- No scoreboards.
- There will be no physical posting of scores on any scoreboard so that no one will be gathering in one area. All scores will be posted online and available for viewing as soon as the round is over.
