The force is strong with us today as our friends from Nearmap share aerial images of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction at Disneyland with you. We’ll also do our best to match up some of the aerial images with photos we’ve recently taken at ground level.

In November the site looked like this (use the little sliver of river at the bottom as your reference):

Star Wars land – November, 2017

While much of the village was just foundation in November, and the mountain range mostly wire-frame, everything is mostly in place now:

July 2018 – The two big buildings at the back are the two major attractions: The First Order attraction on the left and the Millennium Falcon attraction on the right. The tangled web of circular buildings in front of the show buildings are the shops and food service in the land.

The rocks in front of the First Order show building are what you see from the Mark Twain.

You can see the rocks covering the Millennium Falcon structure from Big Thunder, Tarzan’s Treehouse and Toontown.

From Tarzan’s Treehouse you get a sense of the height of the Star Wars mountain (petrified tree) range.

The tower in the middle (partially hidden by the tree) is part of the Millenium Falcon attraction building. The rocks in the distance (on the left) are part of the Battle Escape attraction building.

The marketplace structures can only barely be seen from inside the berm.

Well folks, That’s how Star Wars land is shaping up. It’s quite far along and looks like they’ll easily be able to begin previews and events by late spring of 2019.
