So far, Star Wars: Andor has flipped between separate plotlines. There’s the story of Cassian Andor joining the rebellion, the political resistance of Mon Mothma and Luthen Rael, and a pair of villains searching for their place in the Empire.

The actors playing those villains teased how these plotlines could come together at the end of this season and the beginning of the next. Kyle Soller, who plays Deputy Inspector Syril Karn, teases that the storylines are all connected. Denise Gough, who plays Imperial Lieutenant Dedra Meero, mentioned that the separate storylines came in handy during the pandemic. They could film in small groups to maintain social distancing. In addition, the separate storylines give the show time to flesh out each character’s worldview and motivation. Gough described both characters as searching for control and power, while Soller described the villains as lost in the Empire’s fascist regime.

The world of Andor is filled with “heroes of the stage,” Both actors come from a theatre background and are excited to spend some time with their icons. Gough is excited for her character to spend time with Cassian and Luthen, while Soller would love for his character to do some evil staring at Mon Mothma. New episodes of the series stream every Wednesday on Disney+.
