Developers are turning dirt throughout Frisco. Developments include residential projects, both single-family and multifamily. The following are some development highlights of different projects coming soon.



1. Domain at The Gate
The first project at The Gate is nearly complete and expected to open in late summer. Domain at The Gate broke ground in 2016  and is a master-planned development by Dubai-based Invest Group Overseas, at the southwest corner of Lebanon Road and Dallas North Tollway. The project is a multifamily development and will consist of 350 one- and two-bedroom units. The project includes amenities throughout the development and will sit on the highest points in The Gate, overlooking The Star in Frisco.





2. Edgestone
Construction of homes continues at this new residential community at the northwest and southwest corners of Legacy Drive and Stonebrook Parkway. The 300-acre property will have 650 homes that will be completed within the next five to six years. Some homes are now completed and ready for move in. Homes range from approximately 2,900 square feet to 4,400 square feet. Planned amenities at Edgestone include a resident center, resort-style swimming pool complex, event lawn, a playground and several neighborhood parks.






3. Hollyhock
Hollyhock is a community developed by Newland Communities located at the southeast corner of US 380 and FM 423. Construction began in 2015 and is expected to be complete by 2022. Many homes have already been built and more homes are under construction. The planned 836 single-family homes will range from 2,154 to 4,440 square feet. Hollyhock will include 20 acres for open space inside the community and 5.5 miles of adjacent hike and bike trails connecting to more than 300 acres of natural open space.





4. Wade Settlement
A high-end town house development has started construction on its first phase at the southeast corner of John Hickman Parkway and Parkwood Boulevard. The first phase will include 143 units, and the first 53 units will be complete within six to seven months. The 31-acre development overall will include 306 three-story units, a 3.5-acre private park and an amenities center. Homes will start at $349,000. The homebuilder is Megatel Homes.
