Hollister Flies Seagulls to the Coast

If Ben Franklin had his way, the turkey would have been our national bird. That might have been an odd choice, but not as strange as the Hollister clothing brand’s mascot. Owned by Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister is inspired by the Southern California image (even though it is a Columbus, Ohio company).

Since the company is all about those beautiful west coast beaches, the first, and maybe only bird that comes to mind is the seagull. There’s no denying that the Hollister brand and its maroon-colored seagull is wildly successful. It contributes over 60% to Abercrombie & Fitch’s revenue and according to some, may be the remedy to the parent company’s less-than-stellar earnings.
  • SOURCE: Hollister
  • BRAND: Hollister
  • WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT: You’ve always wondered what kind of bird was on your Hollister t-shirts.
