Super.cc Is Like TripIt for Google Calendar, Adds Any Event You Email

Super.cc is a new calendar assistant that does for Google Calendar what TripIt does for travel planning. Send all of your appointments and events to one address, and they'll automatically get added to your calendar and organized for you. No apps, forms to fill out, or stopping your work to manage your calendar.

The service just launched, and it really is that easy. Once you sign up, you have to give Super.cc some basic permissions to your Google account (they explain these at the bottom of their FAQ) for it to work, but once your account is connected, you can start using it.

If you need to set up a meeting, Super.cc will understand emails that you fire off to it yourself, or even agreed-upon times buried deep in long email chains. All you have to do is add the address [email protected] to the end of that email chain or to your agreed-upon appointment, and the service will do the rest for you. In moments, you'll have your event on your calendar.

The team behind it notes that sure, you could just click the "add to calendar" button in Gmail, but this works for people not using webmail, and if you do it that way, you're pulled out of your flow and what you're doing in order to go fill out a calendar form. With Super.cc you don't have to do any of that. The service even adds landmarks, destinations, and other relevant information from your email to the appointment.

We should note that the service is brand new and very beta—they're adding new features all the time. Fellow Lifehacker writer Melanie Pinola and I have both been testing it for a while now, and while I haven't had serious issues, Melanie's reported some quirkiness in how it adds events (sometimes all day, sometimes default time), so tread carefully. Either way, expect to hear more from these guys soon. Super.cc is free to use, and you can give it a whirl at the link below. There's no app to install or anything, all you have to do is pop in your email address and go.
