Kintsugi is an age-old Japanese technique in which ceramic artists use lacquer mixed with powered gold to reattach shards of pottery. In the July 2021 MJSA Journal, the article "Embracing Flaws" explores how jewelry designers are adapting this technique for their own work. In this webinar, designer Christopher Taylor Timberlake describes his experiments with kintsugi and how he's using it to create stunning new designs that his customers love.
