F Damontre Harris back to practicing at Florida

He won't play or even sit on the bench with the team for the rest of the season.

But suspended Florida forward Damontre Harris is one step closer to making his way back into the good graces of Florida's coaching staff.

The 6-foot-10, 228-pound South Carolina transfer is back to practicing with the squad as a member of the scout team

Harris, a Fayettville, N.C. native, sat out all of 2012 under the NCAA's transfer rules, but was suspended for an undisclosed violation of team rules and released from his scholarship before asking coach Billy Donovan for another chance.

The Gators (17-2, 6-0 in the SEC), winners of 11 straight, travel to Mississippi State Thursday.
