The Australian Vanadium Project High Purity Vanadium Pentoxide Produced
Pre-pilot test work produced high purity (99.4%) vanadium pentoxide which is comparable to standard products from existing global producers. The results also identified improvements to the PFS design and indicated that a higher level of vanadium recovery and lower reagent use can be anticipated in the pilot scale testing.
“With the first production of a producer-peer comparable high-purity product and the significant process improvements identified, our confidence increases further as we continue to improve and de-risk the project with each step forward” - Vincent Algar, Managing Director
Nursery owner Lucy Stuart celebrated two and a half years of paying nothing for electricity use after installing a vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) and solar array on her property. Australian Vanadium and VSUN Energy helped install the VRFB on the property in 2016, and it has since provided effective and reliable storage.
This story received extensive media coverage, including an article in The Sydney Morning Herald.
Managing Director Vincent Algar attended the 2019 Mines and Money conference in Hong Kong. In an interview he discussed the current state of the vanadium market, the impact US President Donald Trump is having on vanadium prices, and the game changers that are putting vanadium in the battery metals space.
