The way each ever book starts with Alexandra Anthony, she allow you to soak in the characters the she constructs beautifully. The sexual tension begins slowly, you can feel it personally building. I don't want to spoil the book for anyone. Just know that Alexandra Anthony knows how to write unlike any other author out there. You long with her characters, you lust after her characters, she doesn't just write about sex (but trust me it HOT) she weaves a story that makes you want to read until your done with the book, you compelled to finish. I love that you don't get gratification of a complete happy ending, you get teased and left wanting so much more. If you haven't bought one of her books, you must go buy them all! Stefan and Josie stories will always be my first loves cause they are her first books, but Nick and Savannah will be a very intoxicating 2nd. From a HUGE fan Alexandra Anthony keep up the great work. Much love, Elizabeth A. N.

This book was part of a blog tour I received a copy for my honest review
4 1/2 stars

Savannah used to be a model and is now a personal assistant, she lands a great job as the pa for Nick Hart a rising rock star. While the two of them share an instant attraction Nick has a secret that could ruin everything. Can the two of them resist each other, will they give into their attraction and will secrets from the past keep this couple from being together. I enjoyed this book, the two main characters were interesting and likeable. The story line had a few twists to it that kept it interesting without being confusing or adding so much to the mix that you felt overwhelmed. I loved the build up in this book, it was done nice and slow leaving you little more frustrated every time just like the characters. The secondary characters in the story were interesting, funny and added some charm to the book. This is my first book by Alexandra Anthony but it won't be my last.

I started reading Alexandra's Vampire Destiny Books and just love her writing so I couldn't wait for her new series the Dark Hart Chronicles.
OMG I was NOT let down. This book centers around Vampire rockstar Nick Hart and his PR and now girl friend Savannah. I do not want to be a spoiler so I will try to censor myself as much as possible.
From the first few pages I was hooked and immediately drawn into Savannah's or Nick's world. Nick is a rockstar that is drawn to Savannah and as much as she resists his ellure she wants to maintain a strict Employer/Employee relationship....
This author writes in a way where you can even smell everything she is telling you. I found myself a few times closing my eyes and imagining the scene... It was hard to put down and literally lost track of time.
I will say that I was pissed when I found I had finished the book.... I want more. This story grabs you from moment go and doesn't let you go (even when you turn the last page). I seriously think this author loves to torture her readers and leave you begging for more. Kinda the way Nick and Savannah can't get enough of each other! They are so in love with each other that their passion explodes off the pages, you will need a cold drink (or shower) while reading this. While this book is VERY EROTIC it is not crass or dirty but it is ADULT ONLY. Also, we get a glimpse of Nick's Songs and the poetry is hauntingly beautiful and sultry.
I rarely find myself jealous of characters in a book and this was one of these times. I so look forward to the next book in this series..... with baited breath.
I am FOR SURE a Nick's Chick!!!!!!!

Alexandra Anthony’s “Tempted”—book 1 in “The Dark Hart Chronicles”—is a paradox in the vampire romance genre…dark yet light, serious yet humorous, mysterious yet erotic. “Tempted” is set in an almost reality world where supernaturals attempt to blend in seamlessly with humans, and readers feel as though they could be part of that world. Anthony’s hero, Nick, is a dark, tempting, utterly decadent vampire rock star. Her heroine, Savannah, is a smart, semi-confident, seriously sexy former teen model/personal assistant. The chemistry between Anthony’s h/h is off the charts! Anthony also created a variety of secondary characters who are charming, loveable, and remarkably clever. Readers will be tempted to come back for more of “The Dark Hart Chronicles”.

Alexandra Anthony is one of my favorite authors. I loved her Vampire Destiny Series. I was wondering how I would feel about this new series. All I can say is that she has done it again. Nick Hart, dark, hero, is a male that I found myself more than "tempted by. Savannah and his story is one of passion and I do mean lots of sexy, steamy, make your heart beat way too fast scenes. It is a wonderful love story, filled with suspense, murder and mayhem. The secondary characters are a great addition and not a distraction, although I bet Malcomb has a few secrets of his own. :) I really loved this book. I hope Alexandra is typing fast because I need to know what happens next! Well done Alexandra!!

What is not to love! There is murder, mystery and oh my god LOVE! The intensity if Nick and Savannah love for each other will blow your mind, we could only hope to fall like that.
Steamy and I mean steamy love scenes that fit to the level of their love and devotion to each other. I am fan of her vampire destiny series and now I can add Tempted Dark Hart chronicles to the list. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Much different than The Vampire Destiny Series...you've got a rock and roll vamp and a heroine that is smart and stands up for herself. Unline the Vampire Destiny Series, there is build up to their relationship.

They both have painful pasts and there's mystery, murder and the author even adds werewolves into this series.

I can't wait for book 2.

Much different for The Vampire Destiny Series.

Much more buildup, you can feel the tension between them. And when they come together...fireworks explode!

Great new series!

This is strictly for adults only...and no prudes either.

Beccas Book review:

First this is the second series of book that I have read from the talented Ms. Alexandra Anthony. Her other series The Vampire Destiny series is awesome as well. But I love this new series as well. the Book Tempted is the first book in her new series The Dark Hart Chronicles.

Savannah has been in the spot light before, she was a young model on the start of a great career when it went the wrong way. she has been out of the spot light for a while, working as a personal assistant to other celebrates. She my be blonde but that doesn't mean she is not intelligent. she is working her way up to being an agent. a chance sighting at a party with her BFF with the beautiful, private, recluse, Nick Hart.. she didn't know that just making eye contact with him would change her life forever.

Nick has a secret that only a few people know, is he ready for another person to know? is he ready to feel again? is he ready for his like to change in ways her never knew? Nick has been alone for a long time. he knows that if he takes the chance with Savannah that is life is going to change. He is a rock star that know one really knows, there is no gossip blogs chancing him, he is spotted during drug, getting drunk, hooking up with hookers. no one really knows anything about him. But when he goes to a party and see's the girl he was in an ad, he knows that he want her. anyway he can get her even if he has to hire her as his personal assistant.

Nick and Savannah are both great characters, I wish there was more of Nick's POV other then the prologue.. I would love to hear from him... the secondary characters are great as well, I can't wait to see more of Ian.

can't wait for the next book of this series, hopefully we won't have to wait till the snow is falling again to get it!!!

“His voice tapered off and the intensity between us hummed. His fingertips inched closer until they brushed against my wrist softly. The moment our skin met, a jolt of scorching desire darted through me. I’d never had this sort of response to a man’s touch before. It was exhilarating… and equally terrifying.”

And this is only the first touch… it only gets hotter from here.

Here it is: I am utterly, devastatingly, and hopelessly in love (AND LUST!) with Nick Hart. Not only is he a devilishly handsome and sexy rock star, complete with a body to die for, an illuminating smile, wit, charm, and even humility, he is a vampire. A dark, possessive, yet emotionally vulnerable, in touch with his humanity, sexually brilliant vampire. Here’s my incredibly difficult dilemma: he is hopelessly, head-over-heels in love with Savannah Wood; and she is perfect for him. Beautiful, smart, cheeky, with equal parts toughness and vulnerability, and an amazingly easy acceptance of Nick’s dangerous, immortal nature, I certainly don’t stand a chance. A girl can dream right? Oh, and I will…

“His fingers gripped my chin softly, looking me in the eyes. ‘Honestly, I don’t give a shit what anyone thinks. I’m tired of playing around because I want to know every inch of you. And once I know it, I want to learn it all over again. Repeatedly and frequently.’ “

I loved this book. I absolutely can not get enough of Nick and Savannah. I relished in the evolution of their relationship; the initial slow build fraught with electric sexual tension, the first touches, the fantastic first sexual explorations. When Nick’s condition comes to light, it gets much more intense. Extreme emotion and trust come to the forefront as the couple fights to break down their barriers and come to terms with what is quickly becoming undeniable: they love each other and can not live without one another. And through it all, the sex only gets HOTTER! These two are so hot together, and the scenes have so many layers: fantastically erotic, emotionally intense, and unforgettable.

Though I was totally engrossed in Nick and Savannah’s consuming relationship, throughout the book there is the undercurrent of an outside threat. Just as the danger is named, the book ends and I realize this story is just beginning, and I am absolutely desperate for more.

“So I’m telling you I love you. And I fucking need you. I want you here with me, Savannah. I don’t want us to be apart. Ever.”

Tempted is a paranormal romance between Savannah Wood and Nick Hart. The star of this novel is its hero, Nick Hart. I absolutely fell in love with his character. There is just something about a strong man that knows it's okay to let your guard down and allow yourself to be comforted by a woman that you love and trust. That's Nick. Nick Hart is a drop dead gorgeous hunk of a vampire. He has a golden voice which has enabled him to have a very lucrative career as a rock star. Nick is not your typical rock star with a huge ego and a passion for parties and women. He is very introspective, sensitive, vulnerable, and loyal. He sees Savannah Wood and knows that he must explore their mutual though unacknowledged attraction.

Savannah Wood is the product of a distracted father and dysfunctional mother. She has felt the wrath of the press up close and personal. She refuses to allow herself to be in a position that will make her vulnerable to the paparazzi again. She begins working for Nick Hart determined not to let her attraction for him jeopardize her new job and chance to become an agent. However, despite her determination passion takes their relationship to a more personal level. I liked Savannah's character. I just felt like she was immature and childish in some parts of the plot. There were other parts where I wanted to stand up and applaud her because she was a real stand by your man type of woman. I guess that's where my disconnect came in---I never knew whether she would be the strong woman or the confused adolescent.

Alexandra Anthony did a simply brilliant thing by showing the tradeoffs and the compromises that any relationship entails. This is not a fairy tale story where the hero and heroine come together and all is well while they ride into the sunset. This book depicts real relationship issues and power struggles. I absolutely loved reading about the evolution of their relationship. The sex was off the charts hot and there was a multitude of it. There was mystery and intrigue along the way. The book kept my attention and was a quick easy read. The ending was a cliffhanger which I hate. So you will have to buy the next book in the series to see how the relationship evolves further and how the mystery is solved. It would have been so much better to conclude their story and pick up on a secondary romance occurring between Savannah's best friend, Siobhan and Nick's best friend, Malcolm.

Savannah has had her share of the spotlight and doesn't want to be in it again. When she gets a job working for Nick a rock star she thinks she has found the perfect job. There is just a few problems with her job. One is Nick is super hot and she is attracted to him. When the two find they are unable to keep their growing attraction to each other a secret they end up with unwanted publicity. Another problem is people seem to be dying all around them and it seems like Savannah is the killers target. See Nick has a past as well and a secret. He is a vampire that has been around a while. Can the two get past the fact that one is human and one supernatural, the public has their eye on them, they both have some walls that need to come down and find out who is stalking Savannah. They have a lot to overcome to see if their love will work.

Savannah has emotional scars that run deep. She has been considered sexy since she was a teen and really wants to have great job. She has a temper bigger than she is and doesn't like anyone to hide things from her. She is afraid to love in some ways. I really liked her. She has had a rough time growing up and now a grown woman it seemed like her dad still wants to control her. Nick is sexy, has a darker side, scared to let his guard down, very protective and can be very loving and good at the loving to. Did I mention he is sexy? I think it needed to be said again just in case lol. I liked hearing his stories of what happened to him years ago. It brought out a venerable side of him that made me fall even harder for him myself.

The book is very well written that it seemed at times like it had a magnetic pull, pulling me in. I loved this book. The characters are very likable and the main two Savannah and Nick are perfect together. They light the pages on fire sometimes. The book moves at a great pace and is easy to follow. There is a mystery to the book and it keeps you guessing and wondering who is next. There is also werewolves in this book and I like the blend of the two and hope to see more of them. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a steamy, sexy book with fantastic characters, a mystery to solve and so much more. I know the main characters story has just started and I can't wait to see what happens next and what they decide to do. I also hope to see more of some of the secondary characters stories.

Wowwy!! Wow!! Wow!!! I literally devoured this book in one sitting! Who needs food, water, or anything when you have a hot rocker vampire that pleases women with just his smirk?!?!?! Tempted lives up to its title. Nick tempts with his charm, charisma, lust filled gazes, and amazeball HOTNESS!!

Savannah takes on a job with the steamy hot rocker as his PA not really knowing what she is getting herself into. She wins more than just a job, but also the heart of the super smexy vampire rocker. Nick has had his sights set on Savannah for longer than she knows, and luckily for him their paths cross again and his opportunity to get close to her arrives. Will Savannah let go of her fear and let Nick into her heart, or will her past concerns and worries keep her from going after what she really wants..... to bed this HAWT sex on legs man and let him rock her world!

I give Tempted 4.5 stars on the knock my socks off scale! Like I mentioned before, I could not put this book down! I cannot wait to see what happens with Nick and Savannah and will anxiously await the next book in the Dark Hart Chronicles!

Wow. Just wow!

I loved The Vampire Destiny Series. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this new series.

OMG.

This is so different from The Vamp Destiny Series. It still has erotic romance, but there is a lot going on. The heroine, Savannah doesn't want to get involved with Nick Hart (the rock and roll vampire hero). Or at least her mind tells her that.

You watch and feel their sexual tension. It's as real as if you're there. And when they finally come together... WOW!

Add in shifters, murder and rock and roll an who can resist these two?

This was a much larger offering than one of the books in her other series. Well worth the read.

I love the attraction between Nick and Savannah. It was nice to see two persons in Hollywood that weren’t all about the sex, drugs and rock & roll. Nick intrigues Savannah but she knows that falling for her boss could ruin the career she is building.

Nick understands what is holding Savannah back. When your trust has been shattered at a young age, it can take a lifetime to gain it back. The love scenes are hot and Nick makes your toes curl! This book kept me hooked till the end, which I didn’t see coming.

I am enthralled with this series and can’t wait to see what comes up next!

I was given a copy as part of a blog tour.

I really enjoyed the author's other series, Vampire Destiny, so was pretty pumped to read this one. Plus it is about Rock N Roll and Vampires. I was not disappointed. Another great read that I would definitely recommend.

I did have one "what the heck" moment in starting chapter 13 where I wondered if I accidentally skipped a chapter. Savannah mentions that she is thinking about certain past events which the author hasn't told us about yet. The mystery events are quickly clarified in flashback via the next several pages.

Can't wait for the book #2.

This book is a departure from the author's other series. No special talents, no fated love.

Just temptation...through and through. We are lucky enough to be taken on a journey of fighting off the thing you want most. And Ms. Anthony is a master at making you feel like you're there with Nick and Savannah. You feel what Savannah feels (or you want to) and it's a story of two broken people trying to make things work and so afraid of letting go.

Beautiful work.

This book had my total interest from page one. I have not read any of Alexandra Anthony's book before picking this one up. I must say, she is on my must read author list now.

Tempted had it all; sexy hot scenes, romance, mystery, and a bit of action. Following Nick and Savannah's budding romance, fighting tooth and nail to not love one another all the while developing into people/vampires that can give and receive love was a treat. I hope there are many more in this series.

Alexandra pens "Tempted" in plot with enough emotion, romance, twists and turns, that she makes you feel as though you are right there. With her well developed characters, great chemistry and hot erotic sex scenes, you will find yourself turning the pages until there are no more. I can't wait for the next book to come out!

I loved Tempted from the first few lines and read it rather quickly. It has lots of lust, action, mystery, and sex going on so it will satisfy something for everybody! I really took to Nick and Savannah's characters rather well and I loved her friend Siobhan who worked on getting the big paparatzi scoops! She had just the knack for her job and was just a fun person to read. She was loud and proud where Savannah was more reserved. Nick was swoon worthy and I could easily just sit all day and have day dreams of him.

The girls are out partying when they happen upon the famous singer, Nick, and Siobhan urges Savannah to go chat it up with him and this is where one of my favorite quotes comes in from Savannah...."What am I supposed to do? Just saunter up to him and say what exactly? Something like I've noticed you staring, would you like to take me home and have your way with me?" Then Siobhan starts in on her about her current beau who she loathes and again I chuckled when Savannah says.."I only keep him around for plus one functions and the occasional booty call." That kinda makes her sound mean but she really isn't.

It was just a quick little erotic thriller that I think most anybody will enjoy especially when the bodies start piling up. The only thing I hated was the ending. I wanted more!

If you haven't read any of Alexandra Anthony's books, you are really missing out. I own all of her books and do not regret a single penny spent. Her writing makes you truly feel the characters' emotions and gets your mind wrapped up in the storyline. This story is no different. Nick is just WOW and put him with Savannah and you have quite the pair. Nick and Savannah's chemistry is so strong you can see and feel the steam coming from them. When the book ends it leaves you yearning for more. LOVED IT!!!!!!
