The Stop TB Partnership Announcement - 19 July 2018

There are 24 competing pre-conferences at AIDS 2018 - why should you go to the TB/HIV one?

Tuberculosis (TB) is the leading killer of people living with HIV: it causes 40% of all HIV deaths worldwide. This fact alone is reason enough for you to attend the TB2018, the official pre-conference of the 22nd International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2018) co-hosted by the International AIDS Society (IAS) in collaboration with the Stop TB Partnership and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Join us on Sunday, 22 July 2018 in Amsterdam to find out how you can support the TB2018 call to action.

TB2018 is an opportunity to highlight the key scientific challenges related to TB and TB/HIV research on prevention, diagnosis and treatment and to set the stage for the first ever UN General Assembly high-level meeting on TB on 26 September at the UN Headquarters in New York. TB2018 will further our call for Heads of State and governments to attend the high-level meeting and commit to concrete actions to #EndTB.

The theme for TB2018 is “Bridging the TB and HIV communities” and it is more critical than ever before to reach all people with TB and HIV by closing the gaps on diagnosis, treatment and prevention. The TB stakeholders and communities have developed a concrete set of Key Asks ahead of the high-level meeting and you can learn more about them here.

We at the Stop TB Partnership along with our partners - IAS and USAID look forward to seeing you at TB2018 with all your support and your loudest voice to #EndTB. To access the conference programme, click here.
