Jaipur was extremely chilly on Monday night at 10 degrees Celsius and it continued into Tuesday morning. The maximum day temperature was five degrees below average at 18 degrees Celsius.

JAIPUR: Severe cold wave conditions continued in Rajasthan on Tuesday, affecting normal life in many cities. The minimum temperature was recorded at minus 0.5 degree in Mount Abu, officials said.
Jaipur was extremely chilly on Monday night at 10 degrees Celsius and it continued into Tuesday morning. The maximum day temperature was five degrees below average at 18 degrees Celsius.

The hill station of Mount Abu was the coldest at minus 0.5 degrees Celsius, while Churu recorded a minimum temperature of 2.2 degrees Celsius.
Extreme cold conditions hit the tourist inflow to Mount Abu.
Pilani and Ganganagar were also chilly at 2.8 and 3.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The state government has put up tents and "raen baseras" (night shelters) for pavement dwellers in Jaipur.
"We have made arrangements in over half a dozen places in Jaipur alone where we are providing free food and shelter," a municipality official said.
