BIM for Owners: Implementations, Requirements & Execution Plans Webinar

Thursday, September 23, 2021
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET

Are you a building owner or a designer working with building owners? Are you interested in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) movement and how it may positively affect the design, construction, operations, and maintenance of your facilities? This session will help bring clarity and provide you with some practical next steps.

We will spend time discussing BIM requirements and BIM Project Execution Plans. What are they and what are some valuable tips to creating your own? This will include reviewing Levels of Development (LOD), the different industry definitions, and best practices for defining them in your requirements.

Moving from the requirements discussion to the design and construction aspects of building ownership, we will go over methods to converting your as-built drawings into robust BIM models and keeping them up-to-date during ongoing projects – whether performed in-house or with outside architects and engineers.

Lastly, we will discuss how your BIM data can easily move to your current Operations & Maintenance (O&M) solutions via industry standard exchange formats such as COBie.

Even if you are an architect or engineer working closely with an owner, you can gain valuable insight into the challenges faced owning and managing facilities and how you may be able to assist.
