A disgusting video has captured people peeling dead skin off their feet after trying out an exfoliating sock.

Baby Foot is a foot care product that promises to make your skin feel as soft as, er, a baby's foot.

It claims to use 17 types of natural extracts which allow your foot to exfoliate naturally , while leaving them highly moisturised.

It works by removing dead skin cells layer by layer.

In the clip, three participants try out the exfoliating socks, after soaking their feet in warm water to help kick start the process.

They then wait for one hour before washing the gel away in the shower.

At the end of day one, all three participants notice some dead skin cells flaking away, but no dramatic peeling.

But as they head towards day four, the results start to vary.

One woman demonstrates how huge chunks of her skin are peeling away, helpfully grabbing at them and ripping them for the camera.

Baby Foot claims that dead skin cells will start to peel three to seven days after the initial application.

Even more disgustingly, peeling can take up to two weeks to fully complete.

The video was uploaded by Buzzfeed , who carried out the experiment with varying results.

One man barely noticed any difference, while another man noticed small particles of skin falling off.
