STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A Tompkinsville man is accused of selling two doses of the party drug "Molly" and two small bags of pot to an undercover cop.

Police say Akil (Damian) Martin, 21, of Brook Street, sold Molly and pot to the officer on June 13, at the corner of Corson and Westervelt avenues, then made a second deal on Corson Avenue on July 2, that time selling only pot. He was arrested on Wednesday.

Marketed as a pure powder or crystal form of the synthetic drug MDMA, Molly's popularity on the club and party scene surged last year.

Martin is charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts each of fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to information from District Attorney Daniel Donovan's office.
