3 shot at Jacksonville's Bruce Park

Three people were shot in a drive-by shooting in Arlington at Bruce Park about 2:30 p.m., according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. D.E. Williams said the victims' injuries weren't life threatening. Williams said the three injured people were standing in a parking area beside a basketball court when a car drove west down Commerce Street and someone started shooting.

The victims, all male, later arrived at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville with gunshot wounds. They told police they were shot at Bruce Park.

Williams wasn't sure if they were all adults, he said.

A description of the car and how many people were inside wasn't immediately available, Williams said.

Police found eight shell casings ejected from a pistol near Underhill Drive and Commerce, he said.
