After a tragic accident India awakens to find herself married to her brother-in-law Prince Omar. Her newlywed husband had died in the accident, giving his brother the right to perform the "widow inheritance rites" The chemistry between Omar and India is electric from the beginning.

I really enjoyed their love story. It had a great balance of romance and suspense. The ending was totally unexpected.

Well done💕

His Inherited Princess was an enjoyable read. I’d definitely read more of this author’s work. I enjoyed spending time in the kingdom of Sudar, Africa with India and Omar. It was a wonderful change of setting.

MY REVIEW: I gave this one 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
This is my first read by this author. She completely captures your attention with these characters, her ability to draw you into the story and keeping you until last page.

This starts and ends in tragedy, suspense and drama. India not having the option of being defiant, excepts the responsibility of service to her country and enters into an arranged marriage. Before the honeymoon or consummation of the marriage tragedy strikes leaving her a widow and in a coma for weeks.

Omar is definitely an alpha male in every way, has never wanted to be king or tied down to one woman. As fate would have it, due to his brother’s untimely death, he is next in line for the throne and is customary to inherit his brother’s widow and care for her.
There is no misunderstanding that these two have some steamy chemistry and it began the first day they met. Before they can move pass all that has happen, there is the matter of finding out who caused the accident that took his brother’s life and clearing India’s name because she is being framed for it.

Every time you think you have this case solved some new evidence is produce making India appear guilty. That coupled with throne being challenge due to Omar’s true heritage and having a wife in the true sense, you have a book full of drama, suspense, romance and secrets that could threaten everything.

India’s character reminded me in some ways of Prince Diana with her charities. I really enjoyed this one and is worth every bit of the rating given and more. I recommend this to anyone that would enjoy a romantic suspense and with cultural elements.

India Saene feels she’s fallen down a patriarchal rabbit hole when she wakes from a coma to find herself married to her husband’s brother, Omar, the new would-be king. A tragic car accident only hours after her wedding has left the independent, educated woman a widow… and an inherited wife.

She’d agreed to the first arranged marriage out of service to her country, but she’d had no say in the second. To complicate matters, she can’t leave the marriage without devastating her country and insulting her husband’s country, and Omar finds evidence his brother’s death may have been murder… and India could be involved.

Explaining to Omar why she looks guilty would put others in danger and India isn’t prepared to do that. But danger is closer to her than she realizes.

India is also intensely drawn to and developing feelings for Omar… two things she hadn’t had for his brother. Finding he has feelings for her doesn’t lessen India’s misery.

As Omar works to clear India’s name, he’s blindsided when he’s challenged for the throne by his uncle.

India and Omar are great characters who maybe both have a bit too much pride. They can’t move forward without dropping their guard and it seems near impossible for them. This sensual romance is a bumpy ride with a couple of plot twists you won’t see coming, and a good case of crazy for the books.

Book two in the Royal House of Saene series delivers mystery, suspense, and romance and I highly recommend it!

Enjoy!

Wow. This book took several twists and turns in the story that made it totally unpredictable. Let's just say my jaw dropped several times. Especially when the secrets came to surface. While Omar and India are trying to figure things out, The throne is trying to be taken over by Omar's Uncle It had a mix of romance and suspense. I also loved the work India does. She is a princess not to be messed with. Although they both were a little stubborn at times, they happened to be the right fit for each other.

Good Book

I enjoyed reading about Omar and India's love journey. This book is suspenseful and has unexpected twists and turns that really brought out the book. India was married to Majid first but sins from his past caused his demise and she was then passed down to Omar who was already smitten with her. Their attraction to one another was so sexy. Salma blamed India for something that she had no control over but in the end, everything worked itself out for the royal family.

I think I have discovered a new author that I love! I was a bit hesitant with this one when I realized it had less then 200 pages. Usually, books like that are hit or miss with me because it can be tough to hit that sweet spot with pacing and character development in books this short. But the author did an awesome job with this one. India is a feminist in a sexist world and she is so determined and I absolutely loved her. I loved that she didn't let others (especially her husband) give her crap. I also loved her chemistry with Omar, her husband. There is a lot going on with the potential romance of a man she did not choose to marry and her work helping women escape abusive situations and the search for the person who killed her first husband (Omar's brother). It sounds like a lot, but the author did a great job of building the suspense and the passion between the two main characters and all the storylines were resolved in a satisfactory way. Great book!

A story of royalty that delivers. Princess India marries one man out of obligation to her family and people. She wakes up after a deadly accident married to her husband’s brother. The concept of inheriting a spouse seems extremely traditionalist, even to India who initially married through an arrangement. She ensures that her displeasure is made known, yet is unable to do anything about the new marriage out of an obligation to her country that she isn’t willing to relinquish.

This was an interesting, spicy romance that had me flipping the pages to see how the mystery incorporated into the story would resolve.

Omar is a sigh worthy hero and India is a strong woman who is more than she seems to be. They make a wonderful royal couple who I rooted to be together.

I enjoyed this book. Well written and engaging from start to finish.
Princess India, wakes up after an accident to find herself married to the brother of the prince she’d married.
It sounds complex, but really isn’t. In ancient Africa, a widow usually ended up married to the younger brother of the deceased.
Princess India finds herself even more attracted to Omar than her first husband and is conflicted about it.
Lots of sexual tension which annoyed me a bit because of how much it dragged on and on—I mean, they’re married and want each other, what’s the big deal?
Notwithstanding, it was such a delightful read. I recommend if you like princess romance fiction with an exotic experience.

From the moment Sheik Omar introduces himself to his new wife, through torturing her with exquisite pleasure to the moment duty becomes desire, author Empi Baryeh weaves a brilliant, sensuous, multilayered tale of intrigue, honor and love.

There is story I can identify with (honestly, I starred as Princess India, theheeehe, who wouldn't -with a hunk like Prince Omar?!) and the heat level remains at high alert even at the most innocuous moments. There's a murder to be resolved and the fate of two nations hinge on resolving the treasonous crime

Empi takes a tradition that occurs in many cultures and puts a spin on it that inspire some deep thought. India personifies the strong woman -seeking a way to remain independent and unique but above all being one who weighs her options and chooses the greater good; Omar -the man who must assume responsibility, even if that goes against his intent, for the greater good. Just when you think you have our hero, heroine or the situation pegged, a new plot twist perks you up

I have read two of Empi's previous works with similar satisfaction but I was pleasantly surprised at the hotter naughty scenes in His Inherited Princess. Who wouldn't want to be at the receiving end of some sensual 'punishment' whilst their tormentor maintained absolute control, though tasked to their limit. Oh gosh! And who really torments the other? lol

Grab a copy, and read His Inherited Princess. You don't need a glass of wine to get through this book though I won't fault you if you really want to cut loose and star in your version of the book-movie :D. Find a great spot where you wouldn't have to explain your bright eyes, burning cheeks or slightly blushed look (heheeehhee).

Picture this: if Black Panther had been written as a love story without all the CGI fight scenes (forgive this damsel), His Inherited Princess will be it's closest simile.

Reading Empi Baryeh's novel, His Inherited Princess, left me breathless. The story flowed effortlessly like fine wine. The diction, the plot, everything was placed perfectly where it was supposed to be. And the drama, suspense and tension that surrounded India and Omar's love story made the book interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat. This is the second book in the Royal House of Saene Trilogy.

India - the headstrong princess who enters into a marriage alliance to save her kingdom. But tragedy strikes and she wakes up from coma two weeks later to discover she'd been inherited by her husband's younger brother.

Omar - the prince who never wanted to be king until his brother's death changed his life and saw him inheriting his brother's bride through an age-old tradition. He was then thrust into the middle of drama and mystery that had me flipping through the pages to discover what happened in the end.

The author also touched important social issues that have become headlines in our world today; mental health and domestic violence. I believe that raising awareness for these social issues can help get the world to pay serious attention to them and work together to eliminate those evils from our societies.

And authors like Empi Baryeh are already using the pen to change the wrong perceptions about women and romance and bring awareness to these important issues that are dear to us.

I enjoyed reading this novel and I can't wait to read the next novel from this amazing author.

Very refreshing to read a modern day, arranged marriage/inherited marriage romance in an African culture. Extremely different culture and time period than I typically read and it was enjoyable.

The writing was well done, and the plot was captivating.

My main issue was the connivence that the younger brother to which India found herself married to was actually the one she had physical attraction to. The chemistry between the to MCs was instant and was brought up often.

I was much more interested in the family dynamics, and I was disappointed that I didn’t get more explanation of the Queen and how she had accepted Omar as her own.

The plot point of discovering the assassination culprit was most annoying and though it was a big driving force to the story, I wish there had been a different one.

Excellent

Bayyybeeee…I do not know who this author is but she wrote the mess out of this story. This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat. It was a great follow up to the first book in the series. I loved Omar and India’s connection. The story didn’t rush but it didn’t drag along with too many details. I don’t know how many books this author has in her catalog but I will be checking for more!

This is another amazing book following the first in the series (His Defiant Princess by Nana Prah). The description of the love connection between those two is so vivid, almost as if I could feel it.
If you haven't read both books, definitely start searching for them now. You'll love them.

If you are looking for a good story with action, intrigue, comedy and sexiness, look no further. This is a thoroughly enjoyable read. This is the second book in a series but it’s a stand alone story.

A book which starts of with tragedy is almost always a who-dun-it book, I’m glad this wasn’t. Suspenseful, steamy drama and like her sisters, Isha and Amira, she is feisty but with a tender naivety that carries through the book.
