This is not the typical book that I usually read, but I was very surprised how quickly that the book sucks you in, and gets you interested in to see what happens next. So we meet Dani she has her own business and seems to be a hair stylist. What guy doesn’t like a woman to cut his hair? I surely know that I do. But as I can figure out what makes a woman’s mind go blank. Add in a cute guy that is muscular. And that is exactly what the author does here. Jaiden walks in and there goes her heart beating crazy. He is there to get his chest waxed. I will say screw that you will not see this guy going and doing that. So hot guy with shirt off. Go ahead and fan yourself ladies. I know how yall get with a shirtless guy that is ripped. So he is obnoxious it seems like to me but he scores a date with her. So little later on she has another walk in client and what do you know it is another hot guy. But don’t go thinking this your normal love triangle book cause let me tell you right now it isn’t. His name is Zach. He is new to town and wants a tour around. So guess what she takes him.
You will find out later that Jaiden and Zach actually know each other and that they are close like brothers. There is a lot of weird name in this book like Zoku, Maki, Rectors, Keepers, Secrets, Devlo, and Toyek. But don’t freight you will figure out where all these names comes in.
Zoku are savers of souls where Devlo are takers. This is a story of good versus evil. Will good outlast evil? Especially when one of the evil guys can come into your dreams, and actually hurt you. Because I know that scares the shit out of me. This story doesn’t just revolve around just a couple of characters. It brings in a whole lot of people. Each person has a specific role in here.
Oh I almost forgot that there is sex also. I mean good, hot steamy sex. I mean if it didn’t have sex then what is a point of a book right. Just kidding, there is action and some drama. But it an all around good book. I think if you are looking for a different book that isn’t a love triangle, and isn’t just for sex then I recommend this book for you.
I give this book 4 star

Daniah leads a normal life. She works, goes home, and does it all over the next day. She also tries to make time to spend with her friends outside of work so that she isn't working all the time. But, her life is changing ad she knows it. Her visions of the future are increasing and demanding more of her attention.

Jaiden is quiet and set on making sure that his people stay alive. In order to do that, he must convience Daniah that she is more than different. If he doesn't, than their race will die. He doesn't want to let that happen so he will do anything to make sure that Daniah learns the truth before it's too late.

This is a different take on angels, not only angels but half-breeds. They live amongst the humans and go unnoticed as they fight the evil that wishes to claim human souls. Their only hope is Daniah believing what Jaiden is saying is the truth.

Chelsea O'Neal did an amazing job at capturing the reader into her world and keeping them drawn into it. This was a good book and the character development helped it along. I'm glad that I was able to read this and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes stories that bend your way of thinking and force you to open up your mind to new possibilities.

I was really torn between rating this book from 3 to 4 stars. I'm still on the brink of confused decision... really.

I got totally blanked out when I got to the part where Zach explained about their kind(reactor, keeper, hulp maki, etc) in one go, it really felt like I needed to memorize all of it for a quiz in the next 15 minutes. I didn't find Daniah and Jaiden's love story thrilling. I think it's because I liked Zach's personality more. I also liked Cord and Jane more. Daniah's character is so plain for me, which bother's me a lot since she's the lead.

Anyway, Aside from those rants I can assure you that I really LOVED the plot of this book. I really liked how the author created a multiple POV on each important characters. It felt like I was watching a TV series. I love how she intertwined each scenes. Giving off small pieces of the story that leaves me curious and intrigued till the end. I love these kind of books.

This is the first book written by a dear friend of mine. She is an amazing person and I'm so proud of her for reaching her goal of publishing her first book.

A New Adult, fantasy, romance, Juniper's Princess is a bit different than my normal types of books that I read. It's the story about a species of human/angel hybrids that have been placed on earth to help souls pass to their proper place. A war tears apart their culture and this story is where they start to pick up the pieces.

The story is unique and well thought out. It keeps you moving along and I was engaged and wanting more when I reached the end. I really can't wait for book 2.

However, the book is written from the perspectives of most of the characters. Each chapter is written from one POV, but can flip from one chapter to the next. This was a bit disconcerting for me. I would have preferred the story if it was narrowed down to only a few POVs. However, I feel that this is a personal preference and would not take away from the story for others.

This was a pretty good start to a series by a brand new author!

The book had a good, solid storyline and a unique voice.

But, I did find it to be a bit confusing and, there are a lot of characters to have to remember. Found myself wishing I had taken notes to keep up with all the information and characters. However, the characters are very likeable and intriguing

At certain times, I felt like I was reading a YA book and at others it felt very NA. I sometimes forgot that Dani, the main character, is 26 and not just out of school.

By the end of the book, I felt like I had a good handle on all the events of the story. Looking forward to reading the second book and getting a better look at how Dani comes into her own!!!

I reviewed this book for the blog Just Another Girl and Her Books. I really enjoyed reading it. Dani is such a sweet character. She loves her family, more than anything. She owns her salon and one day 2 very hot guys come in. She has strange feelings towards them. They both ask her out, and she agrees. From there, her life turns upside down, for the better. She's always known that she was adopted, but she now will find out the reasons why she was adopted. Her birth mother was murdered. She learns that she is a Zoku Toyek. Zoku are half angel, half human race. This is a book about good and evil. I can't wait for the next one.

The beginning started out a bit confusing but the first person encounters in the chapters cleared plenty of the confusing and also made me enjoy the story that much more. Though I'm still not sure if I know who does what and who needs who but the story was entertaining. Daniah was finally told the truth about what she was and why her dreams were confusing. I hope to find out where she goes from here. Leaving the life she's ever known to the life that is ultimately her destiny.

The start of this book was very confusing. I felt the author should have explained more about the different job roles the zoku had. I think that would have helped with the confusion. This book had a great story once the first 50 pages were out of the way, the characters developed well and there were lots of characters that I enjoyed learning about. I hope that people do not give up on this book and keep going with it the story is original and well written. I thought the scene where Dani was told the truth was written brilliantly and realistically as I feel it would have been angry and questioned it too. I felt that the inclusion of the little nephews added a welcome lightness to the book which took some of the tension from the story. The use of many points of view was a great idea it made me feel I knew all of the characters well. Overall I really enjoyed this story. I cannot wait for book two.

I received this book in return for an honest review.

Dani is beginning to realize she is different because of the dreams she has, but it isn't until Jaidem and Zach come into her live that things get really interesting for her. Working at her salon Dani meets both guys almost back to back but find herself drawn to both of them, just in different ways. As she gets closer she finds she has a brother/sister type relationship with Zach, but her feeling for Jaiden are much more. When she finds out the truth she is torn between anger at them for how they have misguided her and relief at finally getting answers.

This is where the story took a turn for me into the realm of a totally confusing. I love books that give you allot details, but in this one with Zach's explanation taking up three or four pages of complex information it left me reeling from information overload.

I pushed through it though because I did enjoyed the basic idea of the story and once we got past all that it really delved more into the storyline.

With several different perspectives told you get to see inside the heads of many characters as they're each taking their journey throughout, and it really gives you an in-depth review of each of them as they're trying to understand what's going on and how they're feeling.

Again at the beginning having so many different perspectives made it more difficult understand the story but as you push past all that it really help to bring it all together.

I did feel that Jaiden and Dani's relationship was a bit rushed but I did enjoy the chemistry between them.

Overall the first 10 to 15% of the book did leave me confused and scratching my head at times, but the story gave enough that I truly got involved with the characters lives and want to see more of what's going to happen to them in the future.

>Subject - book review - Juniper's Princess

> Review

>I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock.

>This book is book 1 in the Angel Crest series and ends in a plot related cliff hanger.

>The story begins simple enough, Dani meets 2 cute guys and they both ask her out. She goes out on 2 separate dates, which change her life. She finds out she is the missing daughter of the queen of a whole new race of people. This race is in a massive civil war. Somehow Dani is key to winning the war. These new people have various powers, such as mind reading, dream walking, healing, etc. Dani learns about and attracts more like herself. She also attracts the evil who want to destroy her.

>The story is told in multiple points of view. This was nice, but each character introduced more characters, until their were too many characters introduced. Eventually, through dreams, some of the story lines and characters intersect. There seemed to me to be 3 separate stories being told at once. I enjoyed each story, but it was hard to jump from story to story, remembering all the characters.

>The romance between Dani and Jaiden happen fast and the love scenes are intense. There is a bit of confusion in the relationships between some of the other characters. Some of the feelings are described as brother/sister like. However, those feelings seem to change from scene to scene.

>I look forward to reading Book 2 in this series to see how the main plot is extended. I am hoping that no additional characters are introduced, so we can get to know the 20+ we already met!

> This book is for an adult audience due to sexual content.

I have to start by saying I don’t love the cover of Juniper’s Princess. Especially placed with Zoku’s Hope. I know the whole “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” blah blah blah. But (go ahead and shoot me) I totally judge a book by it’s cover. Not only do I feel “meh” about the first cover… the two covers just don’t go together. I just feel like a series should look cohesive. That all said, “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” is spot on for this instance. While I really don’t like the cover… I LOVE the book.

I’m struggling with my review because I don’t want to say much of anything to give away the story. Part of the reason I love this is that it’s all such a mystery. Daniah starts out as clueless about the whole Zoku world as I am. I don’t always love when authors switch between character points of view chapter to chapter… but in this case it totally worked. Each chapter starting with the characters name really helped me focus. There were so many characters, and so many back stories, and just SO MUCH. There’s no was you would get the whole story without getting into everyone’s heads. I found myself thinking about making notes, or drawing charts while I was reading. I did stop at the end of each and every chapter for a minute or two just to absorb. Each time I made a connection it was like another “ah ha!” moment. It was all so complex that I really had to think to keep myself straight… and even then I still wondered if there was something I was missing.

Part of me really wants to tell you all my favorite things about the characters… or my favorite “ah ha!” moments… but I truly believe that would ruin it. My lips are sealed.

Juniper’s Princess is the first in the Angel Crest series by Chelsea O’Neal. I’ve never read a novel about half human half angel hybrids, but after this read I am hooked on the genre. Daniah always felt a little different than the norm, but she finds out that referring to herself as a little different is a really big understatement. She is actually the princess of her people and they are in dire need of her. It is Jaiden’s duty to convince her of these facts and get her to return to their people, but to do so he must earn her trust. Can Jaiden convince her that she can save their people and win her heart?
Juniper’s Princess draws you into an amazing fantasy world where humans and human/angel hybrids coexist. The characters and story are really engaging throughout the entire read. As Daniah learns who she really is, the reader does as well, which I found quite interesting to learn about her world with the same “new” eyes that she is. The reader is really brought into a story filled with excitement, danger, wonder, and sex. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in fantasy and adventure with a little sex thrown in and since the sequel, Zoku’s Hope, is already out, the reader is able to further dive into the world the talented O’Neal has created.

This book is very different then what I normally read, but I really enjoyed it. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. One thing I really enjoyed about it is that it is written with many different characters' perspectives, not just the 2 main characters. I couldn't stop reading because I kept wondering who's point of view I was going to read next. I have to admit, Cordelia and Trevor's point of views were my favorite.

Daniah grew up with a very loving family. She always knew she was adopted, but what she didn't realize was that she was really a princess. When her mother was killed she was sent away to live with her adoptive family where she would be safe until it was time for her to ascend to the throne and hopfully stop the war that has been going on since the queen's death.

Jaiden came to find Daniah to take her home to save their people. But, to do that he has to prove to her that she really is the princess and is the only one that can help them.

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next one. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that likes fantasy, action and romance all in one. Great book!

I really enjoyed reading Juniper’s Princess. This is a book that you better clear a time spot for because you will not want to put it down. The cast of characters may be confusing at first, but they will tie together as the story goes on. While this is not the first story I have read about angels, it is the first one that I have read about a race of half angel, half human.
Dani has a very interesting week. She meets two hot guys (one she likes and one she sees as a friend), finds out she is a princess, and realizes that the war is coming to her town. That’s a lot of information to understand in a short amount of time. She also realizes that she is a dream walker.
Come enjoy this story of Soul Keepers, Secret Keepers, Protectors and more as they work to find Dani and end the war. I give this story 4 out of 5 stars. The ending did feel a little rushed, but that could just be because I wanted everything tied into a nice little bow. The ending does tend to lead you to believe there will be another story.

This book has all the things I look for in a good book such as mystery, romance, and lots of action. Author Chelsea O'Neal has created a story filled with characters that attach themselves to your heart. You feel the pain and loss they have experienced and you get to really know them with the multiple points of view the story is being told in (I love that).

Our leading character Daniah is a kind, loving and family oriented young woman that has no idea that her world will be turned upside down when she finds out what the two handsome strangers know about her past and possible future.

I don't want to give the story away, but I can tell you that I have a few new book boyfriends and I am more than ready to read the next book in this series. The ending made me want to throw something because I wasn't ready to be finished with the story, nor did I expect to be left in tears. All things that scream to me that this series has great possibilities and is well on it's way to being one of my favorite series!

Juniper's Princess (Angel Crest Series Book#1) is the debut novel for Chelsea O'Neal and what a great story this is. Daniah leads a normal life she works, goes home and does the something everyday .She does her hardest to spent time with friends outside of her work place .life is changing and her visions of the future are increasing and they are demanding more of her attention. And when there is Jaiden who's quiet and is set on making his people safe and for them to be able to live. But for him to save his people he must convince Daniah that she 's more then different and if he can't convince her his race will be is death. This story is about a species of human/angel /hybrids that was placed on earth to help souls pass to their proper places. This book sucked me in from the start to finish and left me wanting more . All I have to say is this authors characters are strong and well developed . I highly recommend you to read this amazing book you won't be disappointed.

Chelsea O'Neal's Angel Crest Trilogy contains the books "Juniper's Princess," "Zoku's Hope," and "Garnet's Queen." These are great reads! Very detailed. A beautiful ensemble cast of chess pieces that move ever closer to checkmate. I love the mythology created about the different types of special folks and the bonding. There are romance elements, but I think primarily this is an urban fantasy/paranormal read. What romance elements there are, they are steamy! Lots of twists and turns. I will definitely read more by this author.

This is a interesting paranormal series. Lots of characters. Very different and kinda drawn out. I love the Angels though but this book for sure could have been shortened.

I have to admit I am not a fan of the cover so I'm glad I didn't judge this book by it's cover. If you like interesting reads you should consider this one
