Celebrating our 25th Anniversary in Minneapolis

On the evening of November 15th, over 80 people from throughout the Midwest gathered at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Community in Minneapolis, MN for a 25th anniversary celebration.  We prayerfully honored Sister Parish members past and present, listened to a letter from Vicki Schmidt, and held the first screening of the documentary Generations in Solidarity: The Sister Parish Story, available soon for screenings in your community.

2013 in Pictures

2013 has been an eventful year for Sister Parish.  With new communities coming on board, a busy delegation schedule, and events throughout Guatemala, El Salvador and the United States commemorating our 25th anniversary, we have gathered to work, to celebrate, to pray and to dream for our future.

We share with you some of our favorite photos from 2013.  Thank you for being part of our family and here's to celebrating our shared moments!

El Salvador to elect new President, US declares neutrality

On February 2, Salvadorans at home and abroad will elect their next president. We hope for a peaceful last six weeks of the campaign.  Read about what's at stake in this election and background on why activists called on the US to declare neutrality.

Numerous solidarity organizations in El Salvador are organizing delegations to observe the election and, afterward, will gather in San Salvador for an International Sistering Gathering.  Contact us if you are interested in participating.
