BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - Vanderbilt has sold through its initial allotment of 10,000 tickets to the BBVA Compass Bowl and will be working with bowl officials to secure additional seating in the Commodore ticket block, the school said Friday afternoon.
Despite selling through the initial allotment, fans will still be able to purchase tickets through the Vanderbilt Ticket Office to secure their seats for the bowl between Vanderbilt and Houston.
"Commodore National has once again responded to our call to support Vanderbilt football," Associate Athletic Director Steve Walsh said. "We are delighted that our fans have the opportunity to experience the upcoming BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham and our hopes is that Commodore fans will continue to purchase tickets through the university so we can show the nation how well we travel."
Vanderbilt and Houston kick off at noon on Jan. 4 at Legion Field. The game is on ESPN.
