Longtime broadcaster Frank Davis dies at 71
Chef, outdoorsman was familiar face around town
A New Orleans broadcaster known for his work on the water and in the kitchen has passed away after a long illness.Frank Davis spent three decades on WWL TV, retiring about two years ago.At that time, the station said he had produced more than 3,000 "Naturally N'awlins" segments, shared more than 2,000 recipes and taken more than 1,500 fishing trips.Davis, 71, had been fighting a rare autoimmune disease since his retirement. He had moved to Texas recently to be closer to family members, the station said.The thoughts and prayers of all of us at WDSU are with his wife, Mary Clare, his friends and his broadcasting family.
