Illusion (The Vampire Destiny Series Book #2) (Kindle Edition)
"Illusion" is part 2 of the "Vampire Destiny Series". Josie the heroin of the series finds out who and what she is in "Illusion". She meets her vampire father and her brother, she also finds out the fate of her human mother. Stefan, is still deeply in love with Josie and they continue their very romantic,sensual life together as Josie learns to except who and what she is. We also, get to experience the enforcer side of Stefan and I loved that for once good destroys evil and Stefan was very good at destroying the evil vampire. Illusion was fast paced, very erotic, romantic and action paced. I still love the roles of Lukas and Anna, but I am not a fan of Georgie. I feel she is jealous of Josie and Stefan's relationship and I hope in book 3 "Awakening" that either Stefan or Josie puts her in her proper place. Oh and I can't wait see how Anna gets on. It was a big surprise ending, but I won't tell. Dec 15th can't get here fast enough for me. I need to read "Awakening" now!! Very Well Done Ms. Anthony!!I highly recommend this book and this entire series "Fated" bk.1 and "Illusion" bk.2.

This is another great, steamy read in The Vampire Destiny series. I absolutely loved it. My only issue - it ended way to soon on a cliffhanger. Now, I anxiously await the next book in this series. (sigh)

Book 2 in The Vampire Destiny series starts off pretty similar to book 1 being some what jumpy in the plot. I am feeling a little more of an emotional connection between the main characters Stefan and Josie that was missing in the first book. I still think some of the reactions to life altering situations is unbelievable. In this book Josie finds out she has a brother and just seems to accept it rather than question it because he has similar features, I am thinking I would need more to go on than just looks. Josie is also coming into more of her powers, in one chapter she has to feel an extreme emotion to get that power to work, in another chapter she just miraculously does it with no emotion.
Alexandra has the potential to be a great writer, she has the ability to suck you into her stories. However more details would be needed to help the stories flow more naturally. I am sure most would rather have a little bit longer a book with more descriptions than a shorter book that does not give you the full picture. All in all I do like the story as choppy as it is.
I was most disappointed that the grammar errors are still pretty prominent throughout the book. I would have hoped Alexandra would have read some of her reviews to see that the grammar errors are an issue. I would highly recommend a couple of good proof readers to help the flow of the story.
I do plan on continuing this series, but will be taking a break before tackling the next book. It is hard to find enjoyment in stories that cause frustration. I look forward to seeing what other powers Josie may come to own, and I want to see how the situation with Anna pans out, as I am vested in the characters at this point. With that said you will still be getting a lot of "togetherness" from Stefan and Josie, and you will begin to feel more of their connection to one another on a mental level.

I read this book rather quickly. I was so ready to read on this the plot that had finally formed in the last book. I went through the next book just as quick so it's all a nice merger. Sucks when trying to write this review because I don't wanna give away the next book.
Here Jose finds out a good bit about herself and her family. She still runs scared of Stefan despite his pleas. I do hope this is something the last book will be completely free off. After awhile it just makes me want to hit these types of over whiney characters. Grow and adapt into the new stuff of your life! Embrace it. Not everyone gets to find out there have a strange family like this.
Georgia is aggravating in this book and I have a feeling in the last book she will reappear with a twist.
Lukas is my all time fav! If i had one of him in real life, I'd be in heaven. He is everyone girls dream friend and the perfect spice to life!

I loved this book way more then the first one, this book was packed full of surprises, secrets, action, romance, and still really hot and steamy sex scenes but they were not near the focus this time, the story was the clear focus. We learned so much about her family, the family she never thought she had, and what this means for her future. I enjoyed the part when he took her out on a date and they danced together, it was so romantic. The parts with Stefan on the plane were hilarious and I could imagine his huge body in that tiny airplane bathroom. I loved them being in New York and them planning a life there. There were so many things that happened in this book to cause my emotions to go all over the place. I couldn't believe what her one friend did with the hope of joining them, wow, that was kind of creepy but then how she acted later was even weirder. Then of course what occurred at the end was crazy good, every part of that had me on the edge of my seat. When it was over then worry crept in to my mind over the thing that Josie had asked Stefan to do, I kept worrying that it was going to backfire on her, I hope not, cant wait to read the next book.

Stefan fearing the loss of his bond mate, having 2 break a promise that he made 2 himself when he was turned, and looking at all future possibilities can drive even the strongest vampire insane.
Can Josey and Stefan overcome all that they have learned and will learn 2 b 2gether? Will Nosey b able 2 deal with the things she finds out about her family? And will Stefan b able 2 get past his insecurities?
More questions than answers in this book, but good things happen. And just maybe Josey will find out who she really is and will meet someone very special in her life. And just maybe her and Stefan will find out how very strong they can b 2gether, or maybe not...u will have 2 read this next installment in the series 2 find out at least some of the answers.

Amazing! Just when you think it can't get any better than book 1 (Fated) it does! Alexandra Anthony does an excellent job in making you feel that you are right there and living Josie and Stephan's lives. Once you start the book you wont want to put it down! The pasion between these two is incredible! I keep catching myself...even after finishing these books... daydreaming. Placing myself in the book as Josie! (I wish!) I'm so impressed with this series I will go as far to say that it's the BEST series that I have ever read...and I have a feeling that she's just getting started! Cannot wait for book 3 to come out! This book was just as good as the first. Josie found her real dad and also that he was a vampire. Josie had to figure out in only a couple days time that one, she was a half breed, 2 that she will no longer she and now has to figure out what her best friends will think, and lastly, what her dad has planned because she knows he is hiding something.
Stefan and Josie relationship still has not changed. They are more in love then ever. Still tons of smut in this book! Another cliff hanger ending!!!!
Can Josie figure out what she wants and will her new power be able to save her best friend from the evil she was now introduced too!

I've read this book in 1 day! I couldn't put it down. The story is getting deeper and deeper. The love they share is something out of this world. It's getting stronger and you can see Josephine changing. The ending had me going insane, so much info and then waiting till I could start the last book that's out, I was in torture the amount of time it took me to get my hands on it. I was like an addict waiting for his fix.

Wonderful follow up!
This read starts at the end point of the previous one. I love that there wasn't anything missed.
Josie has learned more troubling information about her birth parents while falling even more in love with Stefan!
More intrigue and danger awaits our couple as well as their steamy hook ups :)

Oh this book was just as good as the first one. Josie and Stefan are an amazing couple. I dont want to give to much away, but lets say they're love for each other is like no other. These two are each other's other half and meant to be together.... but more secrets are soon discovered that draws them closer.
If you love Vampires and Erotica you wont be sorry with this book or the author!

Better than the first, we get to meet Josie's vampire father, her long lost brother and watch as Josie discovers she's a vamp hybrid of some sort. We watch her come to grips with wrapping up this part of her life and move on to the next.
Great ending, great characters and this one was much more plot driven.
Again, it's spicy and hot. Highly erotic and not for the faint of heart.

Once again Ms. Anthony brings it with Illusion. Josephine and Stefan's love affair continues with more twists and turns while other characters are brought into the light. With every turn of the page it makes me sad to think that the end is coming nearer but then I remember book three is waiting to be read!

Once again I loved this book also. It left of were the first book ended. It still had that beautiful story with it & kept me hooked again.

A great followup to Fated. I enjoy how the author picks up where she left off and continues to add more to the plot line.
I would suggest that people READ the disclaimer on the book before buying it and then smashing the author for writing the subject matter.

Nice continuation from Fated. It picks up where you left off, which is nice. No strange elapse of time.
