Phew, that cover. Is it hot in here? Le whimper.
First off, I think Milly Taiden is the new Alexa Riley ...but she's Alexa with a Doctorate.
So if you're easily dismayed by insta-love and insta-sex.Or you clutch your pearls frantically at the mention of deep strokes and clenching folds.Well, then, I can't help you and you may need to seek medical attention for the clutching and stuff. Plus, you probably shouldn't read this book.
This is the story of Jared, who falls in love at first sight and with a beautiful and curvy Latina named Lucky (Luciana). She, on the other hand, is just fresh off a bad relationship and wants nothing to do with love. Aside from having to woo and convince Lucky that he's the one, Jared also has to contend with a psychotic ex-fiance whose deranged antics may prove deadly to both him and Lucky. Good times.

Another deliciously fun, adventure by Milly Taiden!! Lucky has been lucky in everything but love, her last serious relationship went down in flames when she caught him cheating with his ex, after he convinced her to move to a different state with him and that they'd start the family she has always wanted. His lies and betrayal have made Lucky wary of getting into another relationship where she could get hurt like that again, men can't be trusted. Going back to New York for her cousins wedding, for which she is the wedding coordinator, Lucky meets Jared, a man so sexy she has never reacted to a man like this before. She hopes to use him to forget her disaster of a love life and to maybe help her move on. Jared knows that he has to claim the curvy beauty for himself as soon as he sets eyes on her. He is baffled by his reaction, especially after what his ex-finance did to him that he is still getting over but he can't help himself; he physically claims her later that night only to wake up and find her gone. Lucky runs after the most pleasurable and emotionally powerful night of her life thinking she'll never see him again, only to run into him the next day when she discovers he is the best man in her cousin's wedding. The two of them have a lot of trust issues to work out and they decide to take it one day at a time, that task is made more difficult when odd seemingly unrelated life threatening occurrences keep happening. Jared will do whatever it takes to keep Lucky safe and to claim her for himself. This read was off the charts sexy and the interaction between Lucky and Jared was both real and funny. I loved Jazz, one of Lucky's assistants, and his flamboyant humor, he should definitely get his Mr. Sexy lol. I hope Lucky's sister Kay is next like the story implies, keep them coming!!

Luciana( Lucky ) is still recovering from a bad break-up. All she ever wanted someone to love and have children so when her boyfriend ends up leaving her for his ex who ends up pregnant she is devastated. Going back home t help with wedding plans feels good for her to be around family. her cousin takes her to a girls night out that is at a rich mans house charity event. There she meets Jared who soon throws her off her game. Jared has been burned in the past but something about Lucky has him wanting to claim her as his. Lucky isn't sure to believe him with his sweet words, but she takes one day at a time. These two get hot and heavy quick and it seems lucky is finally getting lucky in the relationship status, but someone is trying to killing Jared.
Great story loved the instant love turned into suspense.

There is so much about Milly’s writing that I like, this one is just kinda warm and cuddly.
The kinda read that you snuggle in your blanket with and be like aw…
Jared and lucky and its boom! First sparks fly and the flames just get hotter and hotter. Neither one of them will make it easy for the other though, they both have that once bitten twice shy thing going on for them. Its hard to let go of past relations.
Fresh, fun and hot Jared and Lucky alpha wont just get to act any old kinda way, the sassy wont just accept just because. What happens when just being together isn’t enough? Will the past shadows keep them from committing.
The scenes are hot and sexy, the word play fun and the characters and story engaging. When you need that oh so feel good book, grab Lucky Chase I recommend it along with a fuzzy blanket and a glass of your fav vino. Enjoy.

Lucky and Jared meet at a party,where she is an event planner. Lucky is recovering from an event in her past which ended in terrible flames so she is finally starting to come out of her shell and this party is really her come out since that event. Jared is a ladies man, a man who likes to hit it and walk away but when he meets one Luciana "Lucky" Rivas, something about her calls to him and he doesn’t have that feeling of hitting it and walking away. He wants more than one night. When these two meet intense sparks start flying and their chemistry is through the roof. Its great to read and walk unfold thru the story even when someone from one of their past is trying to stop their relationship from going forward.
Jared is all alpha, and he falls hard for Lucky. Lucky is very wary and she doesn’t know what to do since she too falls hard but is afraid to give her heart to Jared, after what happened in her last relationship. The sex between them is hot and erotic, and oh so loving. This alpha shows his woman how he cherishes her. Can Jared get Lucky to admit they are good together and get her to see they belong together before she makes a break to leave his life for good? I Love this book! Milly Taiden has a way with stories that only makes you want more. I loved this book when written as Lucky Break and the new updates and more to it only made it better. Grab a cold iced drink and sit back and enjoy the sizzle and chemistry that she has spun in this great reworked tale of happily ever after.....

Lucky Nuñez does what she loves wedding planning. Sadly not her own but she is happy to plan her best friends wedding and try and forget her ex and all that he did to her. one party and trying to forget and have a good time leads her straight into Jared.
Jared Thomas owns a high tech security company but lucky has no idea that he is also JT the best man when she meets him. He sees her and knows what he wants HER! Sadly he also has a bad past that makes him mistrust women can he get over it in time to make things work with the wedding planner or will other people mess up his happy ever after.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Lucianna (Lucky) is lucky in most things, just not in the love department. She's coming home to New York to finalize and attend a wedding that she's planned. That's what she does, she's an event coordinator. Her cousin takes her to a private event where she feels the need to let loose. Enter Jared, who had also had his share of relationship problems. The chemistry between Lucky and Jared is like instant eletricity. They are drawn to each other physically in the most carnal ways. The sex between them is white hot, sheet grabbing, lust filled passion. But then it's more. My favorite line in the book is from Jared to Lucky, "Why did you leave me?", which was just jaw dropping sexy. The line is pretty near the front of the book, so there are a lot of steamy encounters to come. This was a great read, I couldn't put it down once I started. Sexy as hell, erotic - no doubt about it. If she keeps writing like this, lots of husbands and boyfriends are going to be attacked, and I'm sure they'll enjoy every minute of it.

I really liked the story line, but I wanted more build up. I think the breaks left me questioninga little too much for my taste. Jared is the perfect alpha male and Lucky is the prefect sassy and sexy woman that makes him want it all.

Fun and flirty with heat and mystery. Millys newest book will keep you glued to your book until you read the last page.
The characters were fresh and loveable while the plot will keep you guessing. Jared found what he wants and goes after even while second guessing him self. Lucky maybe be lucky but in relationships she wasn't until Jared. She feels he will give her what she craves.

This was a cute story.
First question I have, are there books for Nina & Alex? #2 Will there be books for Kara*(the sister) & Jazz? I like that even though this isn't a shifter romance, Jared has all the possessive and dominant traits those stubborn Alpha males have. Lucky brings out lol his primal urges and I like it!

Jared and Luciana, aka Lucky, have both been hurt by a previous relationship and now find trusting the opposite sex difficult to do. But the moment these two meet their connection, their chemistry, is obvious and explosive.
After an interesting bet during a few hands of blackjack, the winner almost misses out on collecting their prize after Lucky receives a painful reminder of her social media attention getting recent breakup.
Thankfully, Jared, who already envisions the future he and Lucky will have together, is able to catch her and they share a combustible night. Lucky Chase by Milly Taiden is a seductively entertaining romance with enough heat, a dash of suspense, and more than a hint of danger- I could not put it down.
Luciana Nunez or Lucky, is an event planner who has been unlucky in the game of love. In New York, to attend and help her best friend plan her wedding, Lucky goes off with her friend Nina to a charity party where a simple game of Blackjack with the sexy mysterious stranger turns into a form of foreplay that leads to a night neither are able to forget.
Jared Thomas is no doubt a ladies' man with skeleton's of his own in the relationship department. He didn't see himself wanting a relationship with a woman again. However, when he sees Lucky at the charity party in his home he is completely captivated and unable to deny his need to have her and keep her as is. After their unforgettable night, he wants more than just a one-night stand. He just needs to make Lucky realize she wants the same. But first he has to keep her safe.
Lucky Chase is a fun story that I very much enjoyed. I love that Lucky is tough and confident in her own skin. She knows what she wants, and she won't accept half measures, even when it comes to a relationship with Jared once she realizes there is more going on between them. Jared is romantic, stubborn, but willing to admit he's erred. The scenes between Lucky and him were hot, and the added moments of danger and suspense kept the story moving in a fast-pace. In regards to the mystery and danger, personally I would have liked the hints of the who and why to have been scattered a bit more throughout to make it more prevalent that it was an active part of the plot. But because I love the romance more, I didn't mind too much because the interactions and relationship between Lucky and Jared was spot on.
Overall, Lucky Chase by Milly Taiden was an enjoyable story with strong characters and great storyline. I happily recommend.

I have heard a lot of good things about Milly Taiden's books, so I was very eager to jump on the bandwagon and join in! Lucky Chase is a light read, filled with lots of steamy sexiness. I really enjoyed the way the characters interacted with each other, and I don't just mean the sex!
I love that there was a bit of background to the characters, giving them more depth and showing us why they behave as they do. And even though he wasn't a main character, I have to give mention to Jazz! He was so much fun! I fell in love with him straight away.
The only thing I felt it needed - and this is purely because I do like a bit of drama - was a little bit more of a twist. I thought perhaps certain parts in the story could have been elaborated on more; drawn out to give a little bit more excitement.
Other than that though, a thoroughly enjoyable read :)

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the third book in April Angel's Sizzling Encounter Series. If you have read her other two as I have you will know that this whole series is pure erotic hot and steamy sexual scenes throughout as well as well written. What I love about this authors writing is that her book is raw and very descriptive. I have yet to see a bad cover for any of her books including this basic but beautiful cover of Jared and Lucky.
Luciana (mainly known as Lucky by everyone) is an event planner and has come to New York to help plan her cousin Nina's wedding. Of course she hasn't been to lucky in love, and is taken to a party which is where she meets Jared. While he has had a very bad experience lately too, Lucky and Jared have instant chemistry, which they decide to have fun with. Will their broken hearts mend or will it get in the way of them making a commitment?
Even though this is a short book, it is very captivating and will keep you well involved with your imagination. I had a hard time putting this book down, Lucky Break also had some of that pull and pull tension build up which makes you enjoy a book more in my opinion. At the same time though there was also more of emotions having to be build involved in my opinion with this one because they did not know each other prior to that one night. This book can serve as a stand alone in my opinion or you can read the other two in the series, either way you will not miss a beat. This is one book I will be going back and re-reading in the future and would recommend it to others.

I had a hard time putting this book down, Lucky Break also had some of that pull and pull tension build up which makes you enjoy a book more in my opinion. At the same time though there was also more of emotions having to be build involved in my opinion with this one because they did not know each other prior to that one night. This book can serve as a stand alone in my opinion or you can read the other two in the series, either way you will not miss a beat. This is one book I will be going back and re-reading in the future and would recommend it to others.

This book was hot! It reminded me of Alexa Riley type of books but a bit longer and more believable. So if you're looking for a short super hot sexy read, then this is the perfect book for you.
Right from the start I loved the characters. Jared is your typical ladies man who doesn't want to commit or settle down anytime soon, but just one look at Luciana "Lucky" and he falls hard. So hard that he instantly knew she would be the mother of his children and even wanted to start as soon as possible. My type of book!
I only had two issues with the book, and it might just be me because I'm so picky at times that almost anything bothers me, that might not bother you much. The first one is that it had too much sex. I like steamy books as much as the next girl, but when it has too much it just kind of ruins my entire view of the book. And second was that the ending felt extremely rushed. If she would have added a few extra more pages at the end the book could have had a good ending. But again, it could just be me being my picky self. Don't let these two reasons stop you from reading this book. It was worth the read!

Jared and Lucky have an intense attraction right off and you can totally tell there is something between them, especially how Jared reacts to things concerning her, "he refrained from the urge to yell at the idiot who had ruined what had been working so well and marched around the table, leaving the man mid-speech." Lucky is a demanding type of person that likes to have her needs met, "if you don't shove that c*ck into this pretty pink pu**y soon, I will have to hurt you." Jared is always giving Lucky praises, "you look effing amazing with my c*ck in your hand. Keep touching me, baby." He's so possessive as well, "making his way through the crowd, his gaze locked on his woman and he marched right to her." He's just so manly and I loved him, "ah, yes, sweetheart. I want you, baby. Do you want me too?" He always tries to behave, "baby, you're making it damn hard to be a gentleman." I wish the book was longer because I really did fall in love with Jared, "baby, Mr. Sexy is all yours, and I'll be your Mr. Martha Stewart any day you want."

I LOVED LUCKY CHASE BY MILLY TAIDEN! Unique, different, yet incredibly sexy, and savvy, and all around scrumptious, this romance is one that REALLY opened my eyes to the wonder that is Milly Taiden and her books. First thing that pops, is the gorgeous cover. Then we get a great blurb and the plot is too good to resist. I have read a couple books by Milly Taiden and they were all paranormal romances, but honestly, this contemporary one just really captured my attention.
I liked the characters introduced in the story. They were fun, sassy, interesting, charming, sexy and had great chemistry. The sex was hot hot HOT and I couldn't seem to cool myself off quick enough. One minute I was hot and squirming and the next my heart was just fluttering. It was very interesting and intense in a VERY good way and the story just...popped. Loved it!
Lucky Chase gets a SINFULLY GOOD FOUR AND A HALF SHOOTING STARS! Hot, sexy, fun, intense, I really loved the contemporary story and hope to see more.

I have read the other two books in this series and when I saw there was a third one I wanted to read it right then.
Lucky might be named for luck but when it comes to men she is unlucky. I have to say what she did to her ex-boyfriend is something that I would really love to see in real life. Can I imagine seeing that on live television? Why yes I can.
Lucky came home to help with her cousins wedding and while playing cards she runs into Jared and boy is it a run in. Can you say even more hot sex? I am going to have to take a whole day to get over everyone of these books I read from this author. When you want a hot read this is the author you need to go to, to get your fix.
Both Lucky and Jared have trust issues due to their ex's. The author did an amazing job bringing these two together. I had some great laughs and some hot sex to fill my mind.

I loved this book.
Lucky and Jared meet at a party, where Lucky is the event planner. Jared is a ladies man, one night stand no repeat. When these two meet and the sexy, hawt, electric shock intense, hair raising, sparks flying sex is something you don't want to miss. They are meant for each other and just have to accept it and find a way to make it happen, even when someone from the past is trying to stop them.
It had the past of two people being betrayed by their fiance, one break up very public/gone viral over the internet, the other caught in the act and the suspense of what was to come.
This is my first Milly Taiden book and I hope she continues this story line into a series and writes Alex and Andrew's, Nina and Maxwell's, Kaylani, and Jazz stories. I would be first in line to one-click purchase.

My first book from this author and she's now another author that i will watch for more books!
When i first saw the cover I'm pretty sure it was love at first sight.
Then i read the synopsis and i fell even deeper.
Then i read the story.. wow!
We have Lucky or Luciana and Jared, when she first meets Jared she thinks he's intense and sets her body on fire with need but after having trouble with a past relationship she's very wary, as she should but she has no need with Jared because he was an absolute sweetheart too her.
Jared is instantly transfixed on Lucky when he first see's her at the blackjack table, when they play a few rounds until someone brings up the past for Lucky and she makes a quick break for it.
Jared was determined to have her so he follows her.
The chemistry between these too characters was off the charts!
I hope to see more from this author!

I really enjoyed this story. There’s great chemistry between Lucky and Jared that’s evenly matched with the struggle between distrust and deep attraction, making the buildup exquisite. Amid all the drama, there are lovable characters that surround our couple. I couldn’t get enough of the friends and family dynamics.
I could tell there were other stories that came before this one, but it’s handled well so that this could stand alone with no problem. Even better though is that the ending – which was incredibly sweet – hints to more books to come!
If you’re looking for a heartwarming and authentic feeling story, Lucky Break is an awesome pick that I think any erotic romance fan will thoroughly enjoy.

Lucky Break is April Angel's third novella in her Sizzling Encounters series. Each book can be read as a standalone book but characters from the previous books do appear in this one.
I really enjoyed Lucky Break. In fact I definitely think it is my favorite from the series so far. I loved the main heroine Lucky. She is still hurting from her cheating ex-boyfriend but doesn't let that stop her from having a wild night with Jared. Jared is also hurting from a previous relationship but is instantly attracted to Lucky. I absolutely loved the black jack scene when they first meet. She is definitely one lucky lady. Definitely recommend this book and this series!

This one is fun, flirty, and sexy with a bit of a twist in the plot. Not to mention both have hang-ups with regards to past relationships. Lucky is not Lucky in love but her luck is about to change. Jared is your typical Alpha male. When he meets Lucky he knows she is his future. This one had lots of hot chemistry and lots of giggles as well as some hold your breath moments. Overall it was an enjoyable story. The Characters were easy to fall in love with and you eventually get you HEA. If you are looking for something light and insta-love, then this one will make you happy.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I really enjoyed it.
It's fun, flirty, sexy and emotional. The two characters have been seriously burned in the past, especially Lucky, so a new relationship is not in her sights. Jared is all alpha, he falls for Lucky instantly and doesn't have any trouble showing her physically how he feels. The sex scenes are hot, loved Jared's dirty talk!
Lucky isn't a pushover, she's incredibly feisty so Jared has to dig deep and really expose his feelings to win her over.
It's a great insta-love story.

Loved it! A nice quick read which was enjoyable from start to finish. Luciana, "lucky", has been unlucky in love until her eyes meet her blackjack dealer, Jared, at a party. Instant everything between the two, until the morning after, when she walks away from him. Were they meant to be a one night stand? Can she take a chance after being hurt so terribly in the past? Is Jared all talk or sincere? Is this the real deal? I loved the story, I loved the strong woman Luciana is, I loved the sincerity of Jared. A great love story with a couple of bumps in the road. So worth the one click!
