That headline sounds like the weather around here; however, it also links to handicapping greyhound races.
Now this isn’t an in-depth, government-funded study, but consistent results have been chilled a bit.
Maybe it’s the dogs adjusting to season and condition changes. Or, maybe it’s the handicapping (me) not adjusting.
Whichever the answer, I (and some others from Big Jackpot Betting’s chat room and at Dubuque Greyhound Park) aren’t cashing a lot.
Sure, there are some hits – enough to keep interest up.
How to solve this dilemma?
Well, I’ll go back to my observations in the low-level study: Keep looking at the lines and history. There’s a reason why a dog wins the race. Check a little deeper, and if a dog seems like it shouldn’t lose the race – look again.
It’s time to warm up the results.
