Duchess Kate wore M&S trousers in London to talk about the lockdown

Her Royal Highness in Battersea Park listening directly to parents about their experiences of parent-to-parent support.

It’s really *something* to see how little additional reporting or commentating happened around the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s legal threats towards Tatler. Four months after the publication of the “Catherine the Great” cover story, Tatler finally “succumbed” to the Cambridges’ threats and removed large chunks of the cover story online. It was meaningless given the fact that those hilariously bad sections had been out in the conversation for months. But still, it gave Will & Kate a “win.” And now they’re pretending like it never even happened and the royal reporters are letting them. If that had been Meghan and Harry… well, the commentary would have been drastically different.

So, let’s just pretend that the Tatler debacle never happened and that Kate didn’t go dark, out of nowhere, for a month and that she’s Zooming herself into an early grave and there has never been anyone as keen and hard-working as Kate. On Tuesday, Kate did an event! It’s her first solo, public event in a while, I think? She met with other parents in a London park.

Kate Middleton is continuing to support the wellbeing of parents and children amid the coronavirus pandemic. The mom of three met with a set of parents in a London park on Tuesday to hear about their experiences over the past six months and to learn how other moms and dads have been passing along their best advice to cope in challenging times.

Kate, 38, who has focused a lot of her royal work in the last few years on the needs and wellbeing of families — especially young children — wanted to highlight the parents who use their time, experience and knowledge to support other families, whether as professionals or trained volunteers or through informal parent networks.

It was fitting that the meet-up was held in Battersea Park – Kate, who was casusal in a white shirt and dark pink trousers, believes that spending time in the outside greatly benefits the wellbeing of children as well as their carers.

[From People]

In case you want an ID on the trousers, they’re from Marks & Spencer, they retailed for £29.50 and she’s worn them before. She loves a Capri cut and a cropped leg for some reason! I personally can’t stand that style, but I don’t have the ankles to pull it off. When oh when will palazzo pants come back into style?? I will say this – it’s sort of nice to see Kate in simple, inexpensive trousers and a t-shirt for an event at a park. Four years ago, she would have debuted a $2000 McQueen coatdress and a head full of sausage-curl extensions.

Social distance or not, I really don’t understand why she can’t wear the mask. I’ve been living in London for a couple of years and although I went back home when the measures were lifted I’m reading what is happening in UK right now and seeing people without a mask at events like these makes me so angry. Wear a mask! She should be an example to others. Sorry, I’m really mad. I miss my life there and my friends and am worried for them and this is a big NO.

    • Tia says:

The guidance in the U.K. at the moment is that masks don’t need to be worn outdoors. Therefore, wearing a mask during this event would be taken as a specific, explicit criticism of government guidelines. Bearing in mind Kate has spent her entire marriage doing her best *not* to make waves, the chances of her going against government guidelines at a public event was zero.

I think there are many things you can criticise her for during the pandemic but I don’t think that not wearing a mask when guidelines say she doesn’t need to is one of them.

      • lemonylips says:

I understand your point but with Johnson and the gang giving different guidelines every day, it would be nice to see her wear a mask. It wouldn’t be a horrible thing. No one would attack her for it. Especially since the rise in the numbers is now seen as the fault of the people and their behaviour and not bad government decissions. I obviously have a problem with understanding the protocols during the pandemic and still can not see the reason why the RF wouldn’t be able to do things like wearing a mask if it helps people understand the situation and be cautios. It’s not political, or anti government. It’s common sense. I know it’s been discussed here and still… be an example; that’s all she is supposed to be, isn’t it? I’ve seen people walk around and que without one even when we were told to wear them and it seems to me that this is just one more example of the RF not following what is happening in their country. I said I was sorry if I sounded mad, but I am mad. Mostly because I’ve seen some other photos and in some of them there is a distance issue.

      • February-Pisces says:

I’m in the uk and I wear my mask everywhere, except when I’m in the park, and only because it’s so big, you’re not really close to anyone anyway. But I also think everyone who they have an engagement with may be tested beforehand before they get close to any royals. I wonder how many times Willie and Kate have been tested themselves for no reason whatsoever. Also I don’t think their kids are back in school yet.

      • Becks1 says:

@February pisces they’re definitely not back in school, we would get a back to school pic if they were, its one of the surest ways to get positive coverage. I do wonder if they’re in London though or if they are just using the helicopter to go back and forth.

      • Sid says:

But we’ve already seen both her and William wear masks outdoors during events. And a guideline that says “masks don’t need to be worn outdoors” is not the same thing as saying “don’t wear a mask outdoors” so I don’t see that she or her husband would be going against the government. If anything they could very easily argue that with William being a future king, and them having a young future king at home, AND having so many elderly relatives including some with weak health, they want to take extra precautions like wearing a mask at all times when possible.

      • Becks1 says:

@Sid I admit I don’t get their mask-wearing. Sometimes they wear them outside, sometimes not. Sometimes inside, sometimes not. Sometimes when socially distanced, sometimes not. It’s very inconsistent.

      • February-Pisces says:

@becks I don’t think they’re in London, most likely making use of their chopper. It’s fine, they can use it as much as they like, it’s not as if they will ever face any backlash for it. Isn’t it funny how no one is questioning where their kids are? They’re clearly far too important to go to school, unlike the rest of the kids in the uk.

      • Tessa says:

All the children should be protected not just a future King. All three of them. For all that is known if George has no children, Charlotte could be future monarch. All three children of Henry VIII got to be monarchs.

    • Merricat says:

But if she wore a mask, you wouldn’t be able to see how great she looks! (that’s sarcasm, by cracky)That’s the whole point of this, you know. After her visit to the plastic surgeon, Kate is feeling herself and wants to show off her newest face. Her self-esteem is entirely bound up with her looks, while she has severely neglected the rest of her.

      • Thinking says:

She would be the only one wearing a mask. The optics would scream she was scared of the commoner’s cooties !

      • Merricat says:

You know what, if she was the only one wearing a mask, at least she’d be setting a good example.

    • Elizabeth says:

We’re seeing a second rise in cases in Europe. I honestly wish everyone would wear a mask as a matter of routine, even at outdoor events, as well as socially distancing. I’m just so tired and sad with all the deaths.

      • Nic919 says:

The UK is starting another lockdown and closing pubs and restaurants for everything but table service so clearly the UK rules have been dumb on this. BoJo has been horrible at dealing with the pandemic and the only reason it isn’t getting all the criticism it should is because the US has been even worse. Tens of thousands died because of his stupid call for herd immunity.

    • minx says:

She should be wearing a mask if she’s within that distance, IMO. I would.

      • lemonylips says:

me too. I even wear it in my croatian hometown that has had like 20 cases in total since the start…

      • Nic919 says:

Some photos show her being closer than six feet, which is why wearing a mask when meeting people outside of the social circle is the safest, especially with babies around. But we know this is all for photos anyway.

  2. Seraphina says:

I really like this look and the colors. And it’s appropriate for where she is. BUT her tiny frame is great for that outfit and not one many of us can pull off.

    • nettie says:

Yes it’s a cute look and she can pull off the pants. In Ontario, we are not mandated to wear masks outside either. It’s suggested that if you can’t socially distance you do so.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

These short pants look ridiculous on her, with her elongated waist. The proportions are ALL off;l they make he legs, which she ALWAYS tries to elongate, look like stubs.

Also, anyone else notice who is NOW wearing multilayered, delicate gold chains? Someone who has NEVER worn more than ONE necklace at a time before?? Swear to God, if Kate starts to pull her hair back in a centered part low pony, I’ll lose my shizz! lol

And Kaiser, I’m with you, I LOVE palazzo pants! Even if you’re short, you can wear them with a high or platform shoe and get an elegant, long, lean look.

      • Seraphina says:

@OG, you know, I noticed the necklaces too and it seemed odd she would be wearing them, because all she really liked to wear is THAT engagement ring. Good catch. I could have sworn I first saw them on Meghan and the hoopla that caused, but wasn’t sure.

      • Tessa says:

        Those slacks seem retro sixties.

      • Miumiiiu says:

Her waist looks fine to me! I’d love to be that flat, why is a long waist so bad?! What pants or silhouette would you deem acceptable for her waist since it’s such a problem for you?

      • AMM says:

@MiMiiu – I think she looks ok. But I think the fashion nitpick is that if you have a longer torso, then cutting off the legs highlights the fact that your height comes less from legs and more from torso. I think that’s why she mostly wears dresses. You can’t see where the torso ends and legs begin, so she just looks skinny and tall. In separates, her legs look shorter and that’s not generally desirable.

I personally don’t care much for fashion rules and think you should wear what’s comfortable.

      • Sid says:

Miumiu there is nothing wrong with a long waist. The thing is that Kate always wears her clothes or has them tailored to try and hide that her legs are very short in comparison to her torso, so the proportions of her outfits sometimes end up looking odd. This outfit is cute sitting down, but in the full length photos where she is standing up the high waist of the pants combined with the capri length end up doing the opposite of lengthening.

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

When Kate works in any substantial way we will focus less on her clothes and more on the substance of her work.

IMO she’s completely fine being judged and valued by her appearance rather than have any meaningful impact on the world or her patronages or any worthy cause.

    • FHMom says:

Yes. It looks best on a tall, thin person.

ETA I wish I could get a bow out before leaving the house.

    • BayTampaBay says:

“She loves a Capri cut and a cropped leg for some reason! I personally can’t stand that style,”

The purpose of a cropped leg pant is to show off great shoes.

    • sa says:

I agree, I like the outfit and she really pulls it off.

If I’m remembering right, she’s been wearing a pretty mask with small pinkish flowers, it would go really well with this outfit!

    • Miumiiiu says:

She looks amazing in these pants. And the top is cute as well. Some how this kind of outfit is MUCH more flattering on her than a loose dress (like she’s been into lately). Wish I could say the same

    • Mellie says:

I’m 4’11 and I love skinny capris…just love them. They remind me of Laura on the Dick van Dyke show. I wear them all the time. I don’t know who in the above thread said something about short people and palazzo pants, but I whole heartedly disagree. I bought a pair because I love how they look too….oh my god….hahaha..I looked stumpier than usual. They were just terrible on me, straight to donation box they went.

      • Becks1 says:

I love skinny capris in general, they make me feel like Audrey Hepburn lol, but I don’t like these particular ones on Kate.

      • Isabella says:

I love them too. Nice to see Kate wearing clothes suited for outdoors. Lately she’s even done gardening in long flowing dresses and inappropriate shoes. I think she looks best when she wears knee-length dresses with a defined waist. Show off the best parts of her figure.

    • Shannon Bullock says:

I’m not a huge fan but I will concede it’s a MAJOR improvement over the hideous outfits she typically wears.

  3. Vote Science says:

    This look is really cute!

  4. Sofia says:

This is the first outfit of Kate’s in WEEKS that I’ve genuinely liked and would wear myself. Hope she puts the granny prints away for good and starts dressing more like this.

    • Nikki* says:

I’m with you! I was surprised she looks so relaxed and NORMAL here, instead of a throwback to myself interviewing for a job in 1980.

  5. Lauren says:

Now she’s starting to wear gold necklaces with tiny initials of her kids 🙄😂 I know imitation is a form of flattery, but this is getting obvious and a bit weird.

  6. Lyn says:

Man she looks great and I haven’t said that about her in months if not longer. This outfit fits her so much better and everything about her looks refreshing. Normally she looks and feels boring.

I really dont know who convinced her that dowdy dresses is the way. All its done is make her nonexistent and invisible. She went out yesterday and it barely made a ripple. Nothing. It makes her very easy to overshadow.

    • Teresa says:

Her dresses are always so long and they have pretty elements but she is not a curvy women and ends up looking like a roll of upholstery fabric. I think with her frame these sorts of looks are always her best. More polished casual.

    • BayTampaBay says:

“I really don’t know who convinced her that dowdy dresses is the way.”

I can not speak for the rest of the world but these “dowdy to the max” dresses are very much in style in Southwest Florida. I see girls age 15-24 wearing dresses that appear to be inherited from their great-grandmothers or castoffs from the wardrobe department of Little House On The Prairie.

      • Dee says:

My 17 year old wouldn’t be caught dead in one of those dowdy dresses and neither would any of her friends. Kate’s dresses look all the more dowdy because she doesn’t know how to style them. The shoes, purses and jewelry make it look like she’s cosplaying Betty during the war years.

      • Becks1 says:

I don’t see any young people around me wearing those kinds of dresses, I see some women my age-ish (30s) wearing them, but they’re more office wear than just around the town wear.

      • Sid says:

Bay, I know exactly the look you are describing. The younger folks refer to it as “cottagecore” I believe. It can look really nice, but sometimes “dowdy” is exactly the right word for it.

  7. Q says:

Her fillers look more natural and settled here, although I do wonder if these pics have been ‘shopped.
The pants make her legs look short and emphasis her long torso.
Her wiglet looks good here and the more ashy highlights complement her skin, it was so brassy before.

    • josephine says:

I thought she looked refreshed as well. I had always kinda liked that she didn’t do a ton to her face but I guess it’s been decided that she needed to look younger.

I like the pants a lot but man, I don’t get why her hair is being styled that way. It’s the opposite of modern and fresh.

  8. Becks1 says:

I like the theory of this outfit, but I’m not a fan of the actual cut of the pants. I felt the same the first time she wore them too. Not sure what it is, but something about them isn’t flattering IMO. But it IS nice to see her in something like a simple pair of trousers and a white shirt. I wonder if she really wanted to wear a floral dress with wedges (to be park appropriate) and someone intervened, lol.

    • Vava says:

The fabric looks cheap to me, because it is. I don’t like the cut of these pants, either, but they could be styled in a way that would look better. Different shoes, and a different top that would de-emphasize these things.

      • josephine says:

Yes, the top is dowdy. A cuter, darker colored top would have looked much more modern and stylisth. But I guess she’s not supposed to look stylish?

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

LOL I LIKE the white T, I’d get rid of those horrible pants! Culottes/Capris are NOT her friend! If she was breaking out a rewear, she should’ve paired this T with those blue and white patterned Gap jeans she wore, with flats, or even these white sneakers. THAT was a great look for her!

ETA: found the pic of the pants/outfit : https://www.pinterest.com/pin/508695720393886381/

  9. Q says:

Getty. Ok yes, they’ve definitely been ‘shopped. Ah well, the rest of my compliments stand.

    • Becks1 says:

They’ve definitely been photoshopped (you can always tell when someone is mad at her because they don’t touch up the pics), but her face HAS also settled, last week her fillers were super fresh.

  10. Q says:

One thing I respect about meghan and harry is, they don’t Photoshop their photos.
They bring their own photographer to these things but don’t filter and ‘shop them before sending them out to press.

  11. tee says:

She looks good. Still astounded that engagements like these, once a week, are considered meaningful work. Still astounded the UK pays these people to be ~charitable influencers.

  12. Harper says:

This is a good look. She looks cute and approachable (despite needing to stay 6 ft apart). Now work on dropping the hyena laugh and over-exagerrated facial expressions and we’ll be getting somewhere.

    • Granger says:

Aw, I have a tendency to over-exaggerate my facial expressions, especially around kids. So I feel a bit bad when people make fun of Kate for doing it.

      • Becks1 says:

So I used to feel the same way, because its easy to take pictures of someone who is talking animatedly with other people and just pick the ones where the person has their mouth wide open or whatever, but if you watch videos of some of these interactions, she is the ONLY one who will be laughing or whatever, or she holds that expression for too long so that the photographers get the shot. In videos its obvious that the expressions are over-exaggerated on purpose and out of context.

    • Tessa says:

She does have over exaggerated expressions and has had them for years. Wide open grins and playing to the camera.

      • mytwocents says:

Tessa, exactly, she’s been doing this a long time and not only towards kids. It looks really fake. Why don’t her PR people tell her it’s not flattering or very classy, as they always call her. Do we ever see Maxima or Letizia’s laughing like that?

  13. TeamMeg says:

Cute outfit and nice colors on her. Personally, I avoid capris, as well as 3/4 length sleeves – why stop short? Ankles and wrists are there for a reason!

    • Thinking says:

Capris are great when it is too warm for pants. Wearing full length pants is just too warm but Capris keep you just a bit cool. And also they say casual without wearing shorts. After a certain age a woman cant be seen in shorts esp when doing media events. Shorts are just way too casual. She is a beautiful woman and she actually looks like she is having fun and really connecting. I always think William married up with her. She is really well suited for this role. She is satisfied being a mom and keeping in her lane. Perfect corporate/royal wife. I often wish I could have been satisfied with this. But my darn independent streak just screams to be let out !

      • Merricat says:

Lol, okay, but in no universe is Kate Middleton an example of royalty “marrying up.”

      • Nic919 says:

If she was doing this multiple days a week then it would be meeting the bare minimum expectations but showing up once a week isn’t what the other royals are doing, and she’s been like this for years. She and William are not working like the other royals and always finding excuses not to do so. While she copies Diana in many ways, she doesn’t copy her work ethic, and Charles and Diana, even with their poor marriage, managed to do a lot more work than these two ever had.

      • BayTampaBay says:

@Nic919 – Hardworking Royals; The Queen Mum, Charles, Diana, Anne and Sophie is about it. These five will work (or worked in the Queen Mum’s case) until they 10 feet under.

Footnote: I left out QEII as she is the sovereign and Philip as he is officially retired.

      • Becks1 says:

Being a mom and staying in her lane aren’t the only things expected of her in her role.

      • Tessa says:

I would say neither of them married up. Both are mediocre. He had to settle for her.

      • Tessa says:

I think she is not a nice person and is all fake which is the major reason I don’t like her a nice person would have never caused trouble for her sister in law.

      • Miumiiiu says:

Maybe they mean he married up for physical appearance as he’s not really as cute now since he went bald early. Not related to titles as this post is mainly focused on her appearance

      • Kalana says:

A royal Stepford wife. What a role model.

And tell me more about shorts being inappropriate on women for media events. Maybe when handing out school supplies?🙄

      • Becks1 says:

@Kalana – LOL! Especially since Kate wore shorts last year for the regatta.

      • Kalana says:

@Becks1. I guess we know now at what age women need to stop wearing shorts at media events.

  14. Summerlover says:

Hmmmm good look. Guess sitting with her legs crossed is now OK while it wasn’t for someone else. Totally copied the jewelry style. She has never been into stacked necklaces before.

    • Sparky says:

That’s the first thought I had when I looked at the pics! What happened to the required duchess slant?!?

    • RedWeatherTiger says:

YES! Where are the articles about how Kate is disrespecting HER MAJESTY by ignoring royal protocol? In another day and time, someone would be in TEARS over such a horrific breach and insult to the Queen and all she stands for!

  15. Florence says:

    She looks her age!

Yes Kate! Burn those Amish dresses.

  16. Digital Unicorn says:

She looks good here – more fresher than she has done in a long time. Looks like the work she’s had done has settled as well as some good photoshopping. You can always tell when she’s in with the paps – the photoshop her to within an inch of her life.

  17. L84Tea says:

Ladies and gentlemen, the sausage curls are back.

  18. Mariane says:

Notice shes starting to wear gold jewelry more now😏she used to only occasionally wear gold earrings and has a gift bracelet from camilla but now she also copied Meghan in getting her kids initials. I’m now certain that her team reads blog posts about her hence why she ditched the sister wife/mormon costume!!
Too bad her clueless brexiteer team is so out of touch with reality or they would’ve advised her to wear a mask for this stunt especially as UK is going into a second wave curfew due to spike in cases

    • Harla says:

Thanks for the reminder about the bracelet from Camilla, Kate hasn’t worn that in years.

      • Tessa says:

I don’t think she wore the bracelet for more than two days. Except for their smirking over the sermon at Meghan and Harry’s wedding, I doubt they are close. I notice all the stans pushing Kate as “next Queen” and hardly think that is appreciated by Camilla.

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

I remember Pippa giving her the disk necklace w/George’s initials, so either she or Kate added each kid’s as they came. Can’t dock her copying on this one.

But she SURE AS HELL is copying the laying of necklaces, FINE, THIN necklaces…she never did those before, at least “on duty”. Maybe she has in her “private” time (which is 95% of her time, considering she barely works 4 full weeks of hours a year!).

      • Harla says:

as I recall the necklace Pippa give her was on a long chain and the disks were much larger.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Harla, you’re right! It was one large disk! I looked it up.

The one she’s wearing NOW is NEW. lolololol Obvious, Kate…obvious.

    • Becks1 says:

She did have a necklace with a disk that that said George Alexander Louis, but it was longer and I think the disk was bigger, and we haven’t seen it on her in a long time (probably since Charlotte was born, which would make sense.) So this looks new, but I haven’t followed WKW (which would know) in a long time.

But regardless, like Jan says, the layering of necklaces is 100% copying Meghan. And before people say “maybe Kate likes the style!” Kate copies everyone. She doesn’t have an original thought in her mind. This is copying Meghan.

  19. Intheknow says:

Take a very very close look at her ankles. Maybe she went dark because her ankles?? They are very very bruised.

    • L84Tea says:

Not sure what you’re getting at…but if she were trying to hide her ankles for some reason, I would assume she wouldn’t be wearing capri pants.

      • Intheknow says:

@L84Tea, I went and put my glasses on and everything. 😀 I checked the resolution on my screen. Her ankles look bruised and purple to me.

Anyhow, she looks nice even if some of the pics look like she’s posing for a Sears catalogue.

    • mynameispearl says:

This is a new one lol! Kate Middleton and her suspicious ankles 😂

    • Becks1 says:

I just did a zoom in on her ankles and now feel so ridiculous for it, LOL.

I will say she has had those shoes for years and I’m impressed they’ve stayed so clean. Mine are all smudged and dingy now.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

I find that if I throw mine in the wash, with some bleach, they do well. When they come out, I stuff them with WHITE tissue paper (newspaper ink can bleed), and set them out in the sun to air dry. The tissue paper prevents that “caved in look” that can happen after drying. They come out great! **Don’t forget to take *out* the laces and wash them at the same time!

      • Becks1 says:

ooh thanks. Maybe I will try that! I do like them and find them semi comfortable (I have bad feet, but they’re okay support wise) but they’ve gotten so dingy.

      • tolly says:

I doubt that she only owns one pair (same with the “magical” suede wedges that never get scuffed).

      • Bohemian Angel says:

I suspect she has a few pairs of these. I wear these and they do come up nice in the wash but eventually they need to be thrown out so I buy a new pair as they are so comfortable and my go to shoes for knocking around.

  20. Other Renee says:

She looks great here style wise. The thing that strikes me is her body language. I’m no expert, but she’s facing away from the others and wrapped pretty tight. 🤷‍♀️ This isn’t something I would normally notice but it really stood out to me. Looks uncomfortable.

    • Harla says:

@Other Renee, I was going to say the same thing but I figured I was the only one who saw it. I’ve noticed that quite often when Kate is sitting and talking to people she looks so uncomfortable and like you said “wrapped pretty tight”, trying to keep everyone at a distance. I don’t know if it’s the cameras that are making her uncomfortable or what but it would nice to see her loosen up.

  21. Nancy says:

Glad the comment I was referring to was deleted. Good outfit, though the hair is a bit much.

    Palazzos ARE back in style.

  23. kelleybelle says:

She looks nice in pants, wish she’d wear them more often. They really suit her. She looks good here. That being said, it’s a pity she didn’t care more about her own brother-in-law’s little family while they were there, and the mental health of Meghan who was being crucified daily in the press.

  24. Blerg says:

I think she looks great. Very flattering on her.

  25. February-Pisces says:

I’m really over Kate’s big barrel waves. They don’t do anything for her whatsoever. I wish she would cut her hair shoulder length, I think it would transform her look. The few times I’ve seen her with shorter hair, she looks so much better. But like Jennifer Aniston, she’s emotionally attached to long hair. She probably won’t cut her hair until rose does.

  26. LittlePenguin says:

Why does she need to be holding something all the time? If it isn’t a clutch, it is her sunglasses. Does she never learn how to sit with her hands on her lap?

  27. Joy says:

As a tall woman, sometimes pants that are fine on an average woman become cropped when I put them on so I just go with it.

  28. Catlady says:

Oh god this style doesnt suit her. She really think this is what modern woman look like. She should look at queen of Spain in dress and work ethics. Lol this reminds me of her brother now writing essay for daily mail. I mean the future queen of consort family writing free essay for one of the trashiest tabloid in the world. I wish Kaiser would articles on those. Anyone please tell carol that there is spot open for next year maybe she and her family be next Kardashian?? I mean kate is kim, will is kaney with palace protection we occasionally here about his rage via his press but too bad she doesnt have kanye free style . James is robert Kardashian that no one cares, james mattews is one of khloe’s whatever his name stayed out of spotlight, papa Middleton is scott disick that no one cares and he live as oblivious except the cheating and younger girlfriend that we know off. Pippa is khloe’s fellows kim / kate for clout. Stuck in loveless marraige on her side. She doesnt love him and with him for money and aging. Remember she rejected him two times. You only accept that man finally because you have no choice. The same goes for queen mother though. James girlfriend is black Chyna’s lol obvious is there for clout because no self respecting woman wants to marry a guy who doesnt work. Ppl will watch it. The entire family has clout thanks to kim/kate.

  29. Pam says:

I’ve been wearing palazzo pants. My mum gave them to me. 💜

  30. yinyang says:

Why doesn’t her top half ever look like it matches her bottom half? Looks like she’s posing for a magazine shoot, and that token black person shot, like “hello black people I like you but don’t even think about marrying one of my children.”

And the zoomcall, lololol, she’s tanner than the black guy!! Is she for real?!!!
    worse than trump, hahahaha.

  31. MsIam says:

Not sure why all the gushing over a t-shirt and pants? It looks ok? But I do wish she wore a belt, but that is probably a “me” thing, I hate the look of belt loops with no belt. Anyway, good for you Kate for not wearing a grandma dress. Hurray.

    • Becks1 says:

I think we are all so scarred from her recent run of grandma dresses that we’re overpraising this, lol.

It’s like when she wore that orange sweater in Ireland in March and people thought it was amazing – the sweater was fine, but compared to the monstrosities that were her other outfits on the tour, the sweater was the BEST lol.

    • Nic919 says:

The standard for praising this woman remains subterranean.

  32. Dee says:

The hair looks like doll hair.

  33. Mignionette says:

    Has anyone listened to the audio for this. I found it quite interesting that Kate is using these terms and phrases now;
    – celebrated
    – communities

Sounds very ’empowerment’ driven. It feels like they’re trying to mould Kate a little in the vein of Meghan. Very odd.

  34. Amy Bee says:

I don’t usually do this but I think it’s notable. Kate never wore Marks and Spencer clothing before Meghan came on the scene and she’s only started wearing their clothes this year.

    • Cathy says:

I don’t know about anyone else but to me it feels like Kate wears M&S when she wants to be perceived as “one of the people”. Kate’s just like us as she wears M&S too! But wearing the bottom half of what was designed as a suit to wear to work misses the mark for me, as well as pairing it with an expensive t shirt and what looks like box fresh shoes?

  35. YankLynn says:

I was struck by the different expressions in that top photo. The woman on the left appears to be talking, not smiling, and yet Kate has that huge jackal laugh expression. Someone told her it makes her look engaged and pretty in event photos I guess. The fact that she still needs this “just laugh really big ” fake-y response some 10 yrs into this “job” seems so pathetic.

    • L84Tea says:

I’m now picturing someone speaking to her about world hunger and human trafficking and she’s all smiling and laughing, “Oh yes, isn’t it just so interesting? Ha ha ha!”

    • Ginger says:

She is always the only one with that ridiculous smile and laughing hysterically. It’s embarrassing and very obvious on how fake she is.

  36. Mina_Esq says:

I like the look. She looks younger. She did some ok accessorizing. I would have made the sunglasses bigger and with some side bling, and maybe added some lip and nail color.

  37. Jay says:

I’m glad she (or someone on the team) realizes sneakers and t-shirts are a better fit for Kate for this event and time. Actually, her sportswear game has always seemed like a better fit – ditch the button coats for good, duchess!

A photo op and a zoom call on one day is like, approaching entry level, not worthy of a top CEO.

  38. Alex says:

I’m tall and thin with a long waist and wear cropped pants like that all the time. Like I’m no big fan of hers but maybe she just likes the look?

There are a ton of things to legitimately criticize the BRF and specifically Kate over, but griping about the length of her pants making her legs look short comes off as sour grapes.

  39. NotSoSimpleTaylor says:

I think I have those capris in my closet. I have lots of capris in my closet because I love capris. They’re quite comfortable. I’ve always liked Kate’s outdoor styles like this one. It can be bland but it’s very well put together. Her hair is so boring. I think she would look good with straight hair but I have said if Kate is in fact a bitch, she needs to own it and have a bitchier look.

I will say that Kate looks good but I think she needs to be very careful with the fillers going forward. She’s starting to get that weird eye “mask” (I don’t know what to call it when your eyes are frozen and look sunk into your face) that a lot of women get when their faces have a lot of filler.

  40. Melissa says:

    She looks tan. Mustique? lol

  41. Lens horne says:

    I love that outfit

  42. CrystalBall says:

There has been so much reporting on her £29 M&S trousers that it is very selective not to mention her American brand $95 Ralph Lauren top. Why not tell the whole story?

  43. Katebush says:

Nice look. Appropriate for the outdoors but why all the hate on the granny dresses? I love them and they are in all the shops here in NZ at the moment.

  44. Cathy says:

I’m afraid I didn’t really notice why Kate was meeting people in a park as my brain was stuck on those horrible pants. I disliked them the first time we saw them, at the call centre where Kate looked nervous and like she didn’t want to be there. At that wearing the pants looked like they were stuck on the pantyhose (pop socks?) she was wearing underneath and twisted. I hate the stitched down front pleat too. But on the bright side, they do look like they are sitting on, or near, where her real waist is? It seems Kate thinks her waist is up at and around her lower ribs level, which makes it look hard for her to fill her lungs with air as she’s wearing a belt (a tight belt) around her faux waist.
I’m with KateBush, I like some of her granny dresses. But not the way Kate wears them. Style them up differently and they’d look so cool.

  45. Carolind says:

The kids are definitely back at school. There have been comments that they are the only parents still able to drive their car onto school property.

Photos have also been released tonight, taken on Thursday afternoon, of all the Cambridges in the gardens of Kensington Palace with Sir David Attenborough.
