When the weather finally starts to cool down and the leaves start to change colors, that means you've made it to the best season of the year. No, not because it's stunning and Halloween — the best holiday ever — happens in the middle of it, although all of that is true. What makes autumn so spectacular is the endless amount of cozy fall activities you can do together with your family for little to no money.

Whether you want to cuddle up inside with a cup of warm apple cider and watch one of the best Halloween movies of all time on Freeform (yes, that'd be Hocus Pocus) or take a long scenic drive to admire all the breathtaking autumnal foliage, there is no shortage of fall activities for families to enjoy together. It's never too soon to start adding items to your fall bucket list — especially because, as July comes to a close, only one more blisteringly hot month stands between you and cozy flannel button-downs, fresh apple pie, and jaunty hayrides preferably driven by a person who's well-versed in spooky ghost stories.
