Video Laryngoscopy, the influence of COVID-19 on Use and Experience (VL-iCUE Survey)

Videolaryngoscopes have been described as an essential tool for intubation during the SARS CoV 2 pandemic 1-3. However, this raises the question:

“Has our intubation practice changed forever? Or will we simply return to pre-pandemic protocols?”

We need you! With your help we aim to conduct the most comprehensive survey of Videolaryngoscopy use, investigating our practice before, during and 'after' the global pandemic.

This worldwide survey is available in English, Spanish, and French and is designed to take between 5 and 6 minutes to complete.

Many thanks in advance for completing the survey! Please note that the survey platform will be down from Friday, October 29th at 4.00 PM CET until November 1st at 10.00 AM CET and will close on December Friday 17th 2021 at 9.00 AM CET.

Initial survey results will be presented at Euroanesthesia (ESAIC) in Munich as part of a Medtronic sponsored lunchtime symposium (Friday 17th December 12.30 PM CET). The panel will consist of Dr Audrey De Jong (FRA), Dr Alistair McNarry (UK), and Dr Patrick Schoettker (CH). We expect a lively panel debate exploring key questions posed by the survey, analysing the initial results and finishing with a discussion as to what the future may hold for Videolaryngoscopy.

We look forward to seeing you either in person or virtually at the Medtronic Symposium to debate the use of Universal Videolaryngoscopy.
