Tangled Legacy #1

Tangled Blood Lines

Rate this book
This is not your sweet sparkling vampire story. Oldschool vampires have resurfaced, responsible for brutal murders and more blood than anyone can cope with. In "Tangled Blood Lines", Cianna Fitzgerald, a young but "retired" crime scene investigator, finds herself back in a world she walked away from some years ago.

She grew up in twentieth century Pennsylvania countryside knowing she possesses superhuman powers from her "Irish pixie" bloodlines. She had retired after a particularly tough case where the victim was her husband's twin brother. After her brief respite from murders and homicides, Cianna witnesses a killing where the murderer is a vampire. Her daughter goes missing soon after the killing. Cianna and the love she had once pushed out of her life, her estranged husband Declan, travel halfway around the world to try to save their child.

As the mystery unravels, she learns that although she is a halfbreed, the other half isn't "Irish pixie" as she grew up believing weaving her into a more tangled history and frightening future than she had bargained for.

Warning: This book is VAMPIREISTIC! Blood thirsty with a hint of crazy!

My Rating: This book series is going to be EPIC! 10 of 10!!!!!!!!

My Cover Thoughts: I love the cover. It is of a woman walking holding her head up high going into the face of danger and no regret. The eyes had me drawn in wondering what were they, whose eyes were they, and why are they watching her.

My Thoughts/Review: OMG this book came to me about a month or two ago when I was in school. I got so caught up in school that it was hard for me to start it. To say that I was very angry I did not pick it up sooner is an understatement. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. It captivated me right from the start and I had to know what happened to these unique characters Deborah has created. So without further ado here is what I thought.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! Cianna is an investigative crime scene photographer. She goes to the scenes of crimes and takes pictures. She has an eye for detail and she loves to take pictures until one crime scene was so brutal she passed out. She went to a crime scene and started taking pictures of all the corpses until she points her camera at the last corpse and she thinks it is her husband. She screams and passes out and when she awakens she finds out it was her husband’s twin brother and not her husband. She is so devastated she retires because she can’t handle the work. But once she is retired she misses her work so when her Uncle Sam calls her and asks her to look at some crime scene photos she jumps at the chance because she misses it.

The only thing is she misses her husband to and she does not want her daughter caught up in any police business. Her Uncle Sam convinces her he can talk to Declan and he will be okay with her looking at the pictures. As the story goes on Cianna looks at the crime scene photos and she tries to see what the link is between the murders. She must also learn to trust some people on the way because she will need them. Not everyone is what they appear but through all of it she knows who she can trust and who she can’t.

Cianna will go on an adventure of a lifetime and she will travel far and wide to get back what was taken from her. She will stop at nothing to get it back. She will learn in the process what she is and what she can do. She was raised to believe she was one thing but the truth comes out and she has to come to turns with the fact that she is a Supe and she never knew it. She knew she was different but what she never knew. What will she do with her new knowledge? Will she embrace her future or will she rebel against it? Will she be able to solve the murders in time? Will she get back what she loves most in the world?

Read on to find out! This book will leave you BREATHLESS! I know it did it to me!

Memorable Quotes: Page 43 Declan and Cianna talking: He broke his body away first. Keeping his forehead against mine and our noses touching, he lingered. I moved my hand to push his lips back to mine from the back of his head, but he arched his neck to stop it from happening. I opened my eyes to look into his. They were so close I couldn’t get them into focus. We didn’t break the embrace. It seemed if time had disappeared and we were all that was left. “There is much to do,” he was barely audible. I blinked once. “Lots of planning,” he said no louder than before. I blinked again. He pulled back from our embrace and smiled wildly. “Really?” he asked in the same tone. I slowly closed my eyes and opened them again. A single tear fell from his eye. I caught it halfway down his cheek with my finger. “The walls are gone, Declan,” I winked. “You are officially allowed back in.” “A chuisle (a kwish-la),” his Gaelic native language filled my brain. My love. I replied in Gaelic out loud, “Is tu mo grha (iss two muh guhraw), Declan.” I love you.

Advice: This is a must read! EPIC Series!

Ok so first I would like to thank the author and books4tomorrow for sending me the copy to read for a review.

I would like to start off by saying, first when I began the book, it was a little slow for me (I am usually not a romance kid) and I was interested, but hesitant. Boy, am I sure glad that I kept going. This writer goes into detail with everything. Sometimes you feel like you can see what the characters see. It was well written, and very mysterious-if you like a lot of mystery and "supernatural" with your romance, this book is for you!

I struggled in the beginning with why Cianna made the choices she made, but once you get into the story, you understand and would make the same choices too. I think I pretty much adore Declan. I want a real Declan, like yesterday! And Mattie just melts my heart every single time she talks! And can I just say that I fanatically LOVE that Bullet is always included! And, the supporting characters, they make me cheer!! & I REALLY love the names, they aren't too common & I like that alot!

Now let's talk supe.... There just keeps getting more & more supes added to the pile in this story... You keep guessing who is who, what they are, if they are good and bad!! Who's the Big Bad Supe, who's a good guy, who do you trust....

Now, I know I say this, but, I kinda love a good cliff hanger, and this book has like 5... Without giving too much away, you wonder, what's gunna happen with Mattie, and with Cianna's new found heritage, and how about the vamps in Ireland, and what about Remmie and Rigo, and Jondra (I may not be spelling that one right).... Dude, these questions leave me severely in withdrawals for the next book, like last week!!

So, overall, this book has left me very intrigued and wanting book 2, and it's a lovely 4 stars from me! Ms Noel, please don't leave me hanging too long for the next one!

I received an eARC copy of this TANGLED BLOOD LINES by the author in exchange for an honest review. I have since then bought a copy of this mind~blowing read!

This is gunna be a trippy read! I love Vampires! An 18!z Read Only due to its graphic nature.

Deborah Noel has created a wonderful, multi-layered, complex, yet, mysteriously suspenseful storyline, truly rich in characters and their historical background. The world building is remarkable with pixies, vampires, werewolves, witches, and wizards, with intriquing details delivering unexpected twists and turns, action-packed crime scenes so tangled it will keep one on their toes as the story unfolds. It is so on the edge of your seat, that I found myself irritated during the holidays, due to the fact, that I was unable to finish it before they hit.

This a story of never-ending love between two people, even though times are difficult, Declan and Cianna never lost sight of each other. Cianna is a Crime Scene Investigator, investigating a string of unsolved murders, when in the middle of her investigation, incidents occur that rock both her and Declan's world to their very cores. Here is a glimpse into Declan and Cianna.

Declan, never stoppped loving Cianna, but gave her, her space anyway, he seems to be a romantic at heart, which is cool, because both, Cianna and Mattie, need that in their life!

Cianna, she is a trip, cautious, somewhat paranoid, and a telepathic, she also has a twin, Kelsey, Cold cases are being opened up! Sam seems to be a bit pushy, but what else you expect from a cop? Very intriguing!

I would recommend this book to all ADULT vampire book lovers out there who love a good CSI mystery.

Let me start by saying it was a catchy story. The details of the murder scenes were ensnaring and captivating, like a train wreck that you can't take your eyes away from. There were parts of the story where my knuckles were white from holding on to my seat and others not so much so. If you are looking for some great romance, this is not that book. My reason for the 3 star review is that the book seemed to jump down the chronological timeline in chunks and I felt many things were missing in the transition. I was left wanting for more explanation as to how the murders tied in and why they were the specific targets. That really never came together for me.I did like how you were never really certain who was what in the story, that did keep me guessing. I am sure there is a follow up story, however the end was abrupt and not satisfying. I would like to see more of this author's work in the future.

Tangled Bloodlines by Deborah Noel.

The start of this book is astounding. It reads like a mixture between Karen
Roses and Kathy Reich.

The crime scenes are vivid, detailed and extremely graphic. The observations
are excellent and the reactions human!

But it is not a murder mystery. It is not a CSI or a normal run of the mill
detective story. It is instead a paranormal thriller.

As you read on you discover that the main characters Cianna and her
estranged husband Declan are not ordinary folk. They have family skeletons.
Skeletons that come with certain powers. These powers, they soon noticed are
passed on from them to their daughter Mattie. Mattie and the family dog
Bullet are by far the two coolest characters in the book!

But things start to happen. Cianna's personal work related demons come back
to haunt her and as she delves deeper she finds that her world is a lie.
Things that go bump in the night do exist! Together they are thrown into
situations where they learn to accept myth as fact and when Mattie is
abducted from school they need to make peace with their own abilities and
Irish Pixie bloodlines. But again the truth and Mattie escape them.

I loved reading this book. The characters both main and secondary to
peripheral is fluffed out and given a unique voice!

The reader gets to know the characters and will soon be rooting for certain
bloodlines above others. No sparkly anything in this story. In this book the
normal and supernatural follow the lines of reason and of natural selection.
The fittest survive and the choice between evil and good is an individual
one. Not dictated by bloodlines.

This is a fresh new take on all bumpy creepy things. I loved it.

I am often berated due to my lack of constructive criticism. So I decided
ill give it a try - sorry Deborah. My criticism is two fold. I am not a
raving fan of the last chapter in the book! It has a cliffhanger ending
which is good but a few logical questions is left unanswered. It may very
well be answered in the sequel. Which brings me to my second criticism. Why
oh why is there not a sequel available yet? What am I supposed to do - walk
a high wire of anticipation until the release of the second book? Hmf.

I give this book a 5/5 star rating. I loved the story and would recommend it
and even gift it to any lover of the supernatural genre!

Hi y'all Anne here and I have just closed the back cover on Tangled Blood Lines and I do believe my mouth is still hanging open while I an typing up my review here. Let's start with the story line cause let me tell you with the the first 10 pages what you will read will make you stop, think, and then shutter. The opening to this book I described as Wow, oh my god, and eww. I stand by that statement cause it's like driving by a wreck you don't want to look but human nature says you not only have to but you'll keep looking for more, as you flip through the pages and unfold this mysterious story. After the story unfolds with a blood bath befitting the most gruesome details you get to dip you toes into a smoldering hot romance that has been put on hold by an over protective mother. No matter how much Cianna loves Declan she won't risk her child by being with him, but what happens when it's not him or his life that is dangerous but hers? The characters in the book are fun and well written they come to life at pull you into the story. You feel the lingering passion between destitute lovers, the love of family pulling for each other and the concern for new friends and their safety. The characters are forced through a barrage of mind bending revelations about the world they live in and the history each of them holds. Deborah Noel does an extraordinary job in taking each character and showing off their individuality and bringing you to love them right before she twists their histories and completely changes who you thought they were BUT not who they are! The author will brilliantly lead you into a story that will leave you guessing at the turn of every page because just when you think you know what is going on then it all flips and spins sending a gut twisting tickle to your spine leaving your pulse racing and your eyes searching for more. The story travels to the other side of the world in search of something precious that was stolen. When more secrets are revealed and the characters become more complex than ever. Now the end, hmm never saw that coming not at all!! Cianna is hurt, lost, searching, and pissed who is gonna mess with a woman scorned? Well the one person harboring secrets that's who, but I'm not telling you must pick up your copy and find all the answers for yourself 5 out of 5 stars for Tangled Blood Lines by Deborah Noel!!!! Well Done.

This is again one of those books which I just couldn’t put down. Every spare moment I had was spent reading this enjoyable book. While reading the first chapter of “Tangled Blood Lines”, I felt an excitement rush through me, in anticipation of an unforgettable read in which I can sit back and relax and let the author thrill me to no end with a story full of twists and turns.

Unfortunately, there were a few things I just couldn’t overlook. Thorough readers will soon pick up on the tangled timelines, grammar errors and incredible jumps in logic that leaves you slack-jawed and confused. Halfway through the book I couldn’t help but feel slightly cheated as it seemed to me that the author somewhere along the line decided to throw all caution to the wind and give little thought to what would make sense and what not.

Other than that, I enjoyed this book immensely and wouldn’t hesitate to give it two thumbs up. The characters were well defined and the vampires will scare the heck out of you. I enjoyed her take on old-school vampires and other paranormal entities in this book. There’s absolutely nothing to love about these vamps, which for me was a good change from most of the vampire reads available today. The story moves at a steady pace and will keep you entertained for hours; and the nail-biting suspense will have you think twice before turning off the lights at bedtime.

Deborah Noel has a very unique style of writing which I enjoyed a lot, and a knack for writing solid dialogue. The author doesn’t shy away from descriptive violence and does a great job at making the reader feel as repulsed at the bloodbaths as the main characters do.

“Tangled Blood Lines” is an addictive read, but is in need of more editing. The author knows how to engage the reader and I am definitely looking forward to reading more of her books. However, due to the disappointing ending, the many questions left unanswered and a few of the other points I mentioned earlier which just can’t be overlooked, I am necessitated to recommend this book with only 3 stars. It’s still a worthwhile read though!

This was an interesting story. I enjoyed the characters. The whole take on vampire was different and I enjoyed that. The gore factor was pretty cool. I enjoyed Cienna and Declan. Maddie was really sweet. What bothered me a little was there was so much details in the settings. Too much of what she wore or what the house looked like. Too much of Declan playing the piano . I was waiting and waiting to find out who took her. Why they took her. But by the end I was left hanging. They were on the way to get her but all the questions were still there. Then there was the Cienna's father. WTH? I mean I wanted to know more about that too. He took off and I was left hanging . ugh.... Talk about frustrating. lol. Overall it was good. It will interesting to see what happens if there is another story.

I liked the plot and concept of this book. The pace was quick and lots of action. A little gritty and the opening was hard to read as a mom, however, if you're a crime book nut it won't be hard to stomach. The addition of the fae and pixies as well as some different takes on werewolves kept this fresh in an oft overdone genre. My issue with it, if I had one, was the hero. Declan was a little too whipped while the heroine took some (what I believe to be) ill conceived vacation time from her life. Granted, this could be a me thing. If you're looking for something a little different in the PNR realm give this one a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I should start out by giving a shout out to the Vamptasy Book Club Via
facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/221... ) as I got the free ebook of Tangled Blood Lines as one of their group reads! As you can tell my by my rating this is one ebook that did not disappoint.

One of the things I enjoy most is reading truly original ideas. In a genre that is flooded with the same old Vampires and Werewolves Noel has managed to give us a new perspective while staying true to the nature of the beast, so to speak. By a third of the way in I was hooked and couldn't pull myself away. The characters are well done and each have a surprising amount of depth. I will say that I found Mattie a tad bit unbelievable at first. This mostly comes from my own experience as a mother and child photographer. Mattie just seems a tad bit too mature but maybe because of some other revelations later in the book she is mature due to something in her genetics? I guess we will have to wait and see in the next book.
Speaking of the next book, talk about some big questions. Will they find Mattie? What is the deal with Cianna's dad? How do the werewolves come into play? The end of this book will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting for more!

This was such an interesting story that there were only a few small things that kept it from 5 stars for me. One was the focus on how much German/Gaelic Cianna understood. I know its important to the story line for her to have a base knowledge of other languages but it would be just as easy to glaze over it, I think the readers wouldn't mind some kind of a blanket statement in regards to her abilities. I also felt like it had the feel of the second book in the series. Some of the earlier flashbacks had the same feeling as when authors "remind" readers as to what happened in the last book. Otherwise this book was fabulous.

It is worth pointing out again how enjoyable it was to see vampires in a more classic form, but without the gore that a more horror focused novel would portray. If you are looking for a fast paced read with twists and turns you will not be expecting then Tangled Blood Lines is a must read. I have not read a novel with a more perfect title in a long time!

I was so excited when Deborah approached me to review her book Tangled Blood Lines. I found it a great read once I got into it. It took me a while, but it was worth while taking the time to read.
My initial thoughts to begin with was that this book was all about solving murder cases. As I read past the first few chapters I realised there was more to this story than solving murders.
There is a major supernatural element that really intrigued me. I have a love for magic and reading this story with the supernatural really caught my attention
When Shane and his girlfriend Brae capture two tracker vampires I found the story become more interesting and I found a new level to the story. There was something different about these vampires, as once they were caught and put behind silver bars and started revealing their purpose I became more interested in them.

There were three main relationships in Tangled Blood Lines. There was the relationship between Cianna and Declan, Cianna, Declan and Mattie and the relationship uncle Sam, Cianna and Declan. Telepathy was a strong connection with these relationships as well as the family bond and that of love. All three relationships stood out to me the most because of the way they all interacted with each other. Their connection/bond was so strong. I really could understand how Cianna felt for her husband Declan. Their love was so strong and so very beautiful.

After reading Tangled Blood Lines, I was left with many unanswered questions. I want to know more about the Vampires and Cianna’s history. I also want to know what happens when Mattie is found.

This is such a fantastic read, I hope to read more books from Deborah in the near future.
If you love the supernatural you will love this book.

Firstly, I love this cover. I actually design front covers and made something rather similar to this a few years back. Secondly, I’d like to say thanks for giving me the chance to read and review this book.

The good and refreshing thing about this book is that the vampires aren’t shimmering goodie goodies who just wanted to be loved, or see what they are as such a curse and burden. Welcome back old style, tough as hell, frightening (to some) vampires.

I thought I would enjoy this book and I was right to an extent. At first I found it rather hard to get into and kept putting the book down and doing other things. It seemed far to overwritten and that got on my nerves. But after the first few chapters the pace picked up. The characters are well developed and whilst at first we think Cianna and Declan are regular human beings, we soon learn they have a gift. A pretty cool one if you ask me. I love the characters and the author did a good job at making the reader feel their love for each other and just how loyal they are to one another. The authors descriptions of the crime scenes are very good too.

After a while the story seemed to jump around and it times it became a little hard to follow. You also left with a lot of unanswered questions and whilst I know this is good when its the start of a series, I would have expected a few more answers than we were given. Maybe even a shock factor or a big twist. Sadly that didn’t happen. I also noticed a lot of typos and grammar errors.

All in all though, after the first few chapters, this was an entertaining read, and I’m looking forward to reading the next instalment.

To be honest I’m not a big fan of gore or murder books. It took me a bit to get into but when I did Tangled Blood Lines was a wonderful book. Deborah Noel did a great job writing, the plot was good and the charters where very well written you got to know and understand them and what they went though. I will buy the next one I can’t wait to find out what happens, I will defiantly leave you wanting to know what happens next.

As you read you discover that the main characters Cianna and her estranged husband Declan are not ordinary folk. They powers that are passed down through the family, their daughter Mattie has to be the sweetest little girl and very smart.
When Cianna's work related demons come back to haunt her and as she digs deeper she finds that her world is really a lie, that vampires really do exist and a long with them Werewolves, Witches and outher sups. These vampires are not the nice kind either, they are responsible for brutal murders and more blood than anyone can cope with. When Cianna and Declan’s Daughter Mattie is kidnapped they will do anything to get her back safe. She will learn in the process what she is and what she can do. She was raised to believe she was one thing but the truth comes out and she has to come to terms with what she is. Will she embrace her future or will she rebel against it? Will she get what she loves most in the world back?

Firstly I would just like to make clear I don't do crime or mystery novels I hate them with a passion never have liked them probably never will. In saying all that that is exactly what this book is about and I LOVED IT!
Who knew you could put crime, mystery and supernatural all in the one story and it work, Deborah has combined the 3 perfectly.
There are so many twists and turns in this book you will never see what's coming next, it's very exciting story were there is something happening constently. It is written in a way that makes you feel as though your actually there with the characters seeing everything, smelling the smells and experiencing the pain for instance when a major thing happens to one of the main characters she describes it as her heart breaking and crumbling and as a person who can relate to that you can feel every ounce of her pain and your heart breaks for her
Tangled Bloodlines is like no other Vampire/Werewolf/Pixie/Witch or any other Supernatural being book I have ever read it is completely unique and I look forward to reading more of this series

Well done Deborah!Tangled Blood Lines

I started reading this book with a little hestation, since I'm not really into vampires and the whole paranormal fantasty scene. However, it only took a few chapters for the story and the characters to grab my imagination and make it hard for me to put the book down. The author brings vampires, witches, pixies, werewolfs, lovers and friends into a story that grips your imagination and makes you want to keep reading to see what could possibly happen next. There are some amazing twists and turns sure to keep you guessing and wondering about the story and the characters. Additionally, there's a strong feeling of family and friendship throughout the book that touches the soul and even it the midst of some gory action, leaves you with a sense of kinship. If you love to travel, you'll get a thrilling visit to one of my favorite foreign lands (won't spoil it and tell you where). And who knew vampires could actually have a pretty ironic sense of humor? Got to love it!!

Where to start?! First off, this story is NOT for those who have a weak stomach. But this is DEFINITELY my kind of story. Its a "murder mystery" type of book, but BETTER! Its got all sorts of "supes"...vampires, witches, werewolves, its AWESOME! Cianna is a crime scene investigator, who's cold cases haunt her every night, in nightmares. When her Uncle Sam asks her to help try to solve these cold cases, she is hesitant, but agrees. With the help of her estranged husband, Declan, things get off and going! This story takes twists and turns I never imagined coming! I fell in love with the characters! I felt sad when they did, happy when they did, was on the edge of my seat the whole time! It was so easy to get lost in this story! My only problem?! It ended too soon! I want to know what happens next! Simply, wow. Amazing writing, amazing book! 5 of 5 stars all the way!

Ok, in the spirit of full disclosure, I love reading vampire books. I read them all. I like my vamps as sparkly as the next, but I have seen the "good guy" vampire stories flood the market and was so excited to find something different. The mystery unfolds so beautifully in this book and the supernatural/paranormal elements never feel forced. Whether you "like" a character or not, you understand why they are doing what they are doing and I love that about her writing. I usually stay away from mystery type books because they feel so contrived. I never felt that with this book and it was so refreshing. I will definitely put this author in my book (yes, I have a little black book I keep authors name, release dates etc. in if I want to read more from them). It truly was a great read!

Cianna Fitzgerald was the best crime scene photographer out there, especially when she was paired with her husband Declan. Together they had a beautiful daughter, until one case that haunted her splitting her family in two. Now even though retired, Cianna finds herself back in the game and with her husband trying to solve a murder that others cannot get a break on. Cianna knew that she has powers that are not quite human, even so when her daughter goes missing she uncovers a world she never knew existed.

Haunting, suspenseful, and wonderfully written. Your immediately immersed into Cianna's life, you feel her pain, happiness, and love for Declan. I am intrigued and anxiously waiting for the next one. Quite a different paranormal story and completely unexpected.

Crime Scene Investor, Cianna Fitzgerald is a young retiree intent on keeping her young daughter safe even if it meant living separate from the man she loved. Mattie was too important to her to let her guard down. Se new she was half pixie and half human, and she had been good at her job. She grew up in the Pennsylvania countryside. With a gruesome murder that involved her husband's twin brother. After a time she witnesses a battle between a vampire and wolves in her backyard, then someone kidnaps Matie and she discovers a long held secret in her family!

Wow does Deborah Noel sweep her readers up with her fast paced story that keeps you on the edge as Cianna and Declan united to solve a twisted mystery!

Pros: I really enjoyed this book. The mysteries and secrets unfold beautifully. The details of the story were stunning, especially the crime scenes. The characters are interesting and I know there are more secrets. I really like the vampire rules and how they were laid out, as well as the half breed bloodlines.

Cons: Some of the writing felt a little choppy and rushed and there were a few mistakes but I don't know if the review copy I got has been edited since. Sometimes the details were too much, like the what they were eating and the piano playing.

I wish the second book was out already because I want to know what happens next.

I have to admit that when I started reading this book I wasn't so sure I would finish. Tangled Bloodlines is not a Vampire/Romance book by any means. There is substantial gore written out in vivid detail. However, the deeper into the book I got the more I became engrossed in not only the story but the characters as well. Cianna and Declan are such a well suited couple and the supporting characters really come to life. There are suprises around every turn and my emotions were on high alert!! I fell in love with Mattie and was scared of Rogi (he was a tad intense)!. In the end I am so glad I finished this book, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

~There is going to be a second book for sure! Anyways this whole book was a murder-mystery-paranormal thing and it was great! Cianna is a total bad-ass if you piss her off and Declan is that type of guy that every woman dreams of. Throughout reading this book, I was sometimes appalled at the excruciating detail that Deborah put into the murder scenes (but besides that the other descriptions where great). Overall it was a great read, but better suited for adults because of violence and sexual situations.

This book is amazing. It grabbed me from the begining and had me feeling so many emotions right along with the main characters. I will say that the vampires in this story are not your typical romantic ones they are almost evil like. But this only adds to the story. The main characters Declan and Cianna are so strong and love each other so much that they are able to handle everything that is thrown at them. It only makes them stronger. I am looking forward to reading the next book and seeing where it takes me. I was left wanting more and not wanting the story to end.

It was a little slow for me in the beginning and I was expecting more "supernatural elements but it was mainly romance first up. Very detailed gory murder scenes just left me with more questions than answers and not a vampire in sight till Chapter 9 which was disappointing. Parts of the story line felt rushed and others had too much detail for my liking. The telepathy angle was interesting and it did get more action towards the end with more vampires, werewolves and witches. This is not my favourite genre and I guess despite the positive reviews, it was not my cup of tea after all.

What an amazing story. Every chapter kept me hanging on and wanting more and more. I really like Deborah Noel's writing. The way she illustrates her characters makes them seem real. I like fast paced books and this is a quick read. I also am into anything Vampires and paranormal and to mix in the whole detective scene as well which I like detective stories is really good. I can't wait until the next book comes out.

Tangled Bloodlines is an intense book. We have Irish pixie, vampire, wolves, wizards, and witches unlike any way I've read them before. The story and characters are great the way they weave together. I especially took to the characters of Cianna and Declan and was fearful of Rogi. Some romance, a little gore, family time, travel to distant countries, battles with supernaturals. Just what a good book needs.

It was brilliant i loved the mix of all the characters it had a little of everything. It was a little gory at times but it gave it a good twist, than other vampire books. Deborah Noel did a fantastic job in describing every single detail in her characters including the scenes they were in. Great job Deborah!!! She also left us with a great cliff hanger cant wait to read the next book.
