Toronto man sentenced to life for 2013 killings of mother, aunt and uncle

A Toronto man has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 18 years in the deaths of his mother, great aunt and great uncle in July 2013.
Alexander Khalilov was convicted on three counts of second-degree murder after the victims were found inside a home near Burnhamthorpe Road and Highway 427 in Etobicoke.
The deceased were identified as Tatiana Khalilova, 49, of Toronto, and Svetlana Babaega, 76, and Victor Zybin, 76, both of Russia.
Khalilov, who was 22 at the time, was arrested after he was found armed with a knife in a nearby ravine.
