ModCloth is vowing not to photoshop their models. The brand has been part of the body positive conversation for some time now. Their clothing already embraces all shapes and sizes; ModCloth carries up to a size 30 because, as the website reads, they "believe fashion is for every body."
In keeping with that pledge, ModCloth co-founder Susan Gregg Koger is supporting a bill that urges the FTC to better regulate body alterations through Photoshop.
ModCloth joins a small but mighty group of retailers that have spoken out against Photoshop. Aerie made headlines with their un-retouched underwear campaigns, and even saw a sale increase. Hopefully, these two progressive brands can spark change across the industry at large.
