BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man faces attempted murder charges after allegedly firing a gun at a car with a mother and her three children inside.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported Demetrice Johnson, 30, is charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder.

The shooting happened Thursday morning on Varsity Street in Baton Rouge.

According to deputies, bullet holes were found just inches away from the passengers' heads.
